We have arranged for the:
~ Red Cross to be on campus. Blood Supplies are CRITICALLY Low Nation Wide!! With Sandy occuring on the East Coast, there is a struggle to get the blood that is needed for the injured!! Scary!! ALL Blood Types are NEEDED!!!!! They have made it soooo easy and less painful... can YOU donate to help others in need?? It's FREE but Priceless!!!!
~ City of Home, Duarte to be on campus. Bone Marrow is in DIRE NEED! Alllllll types of Bone Marrow! Did you know that the rarest is mixed heritages?? With a Drastic NEED...here is a VIDEO on HOW EASY it is to donate!!!! Realize that this will be a simple cheek swab to place you on the registry. Donating is soooo easy these days - they can draw it from a blood transfusion!! WOW!! Can YOU Sign up for a few minute meeting and do a cheek swab?? Join Be The Match, Bone Marrow Registry and save lives!!
~ Hair Donations!! We are gathering people to donate 8"++ of hair and receive a free style!! Stylists are donating their services (we are still seeking more stylists even - if you know of anyone.... let me know). Come with Clean, freshly washed, DRY hair in a pony tail! Walk away w/ a new style while knowing that Pantene will be donating your locks to help others struggling w/ Cancer. HERE is a little more info on Pantene's Beautiful Lengthes program.
I need EVERYONE to Register to assure the coverage. I'll call ALL who register to confirm their times of donations, coordinate if they are doing more than one ( or alllll of the needs - like me!) The Blood donations will take 20-30 minutes, one can have their Bone Marrow Swab done at the same time and Hair will be done at the same time!!
We have Appointments starting at 8am ~ 4pm!! Everyone can participate!! Before and AFTER sports and activities!! We will fit everyone in as the need is soooo great!
