Badge of Honor?
When a little girl on my daughter's Softball Team took a ball to the face - the crack of the contact was audible to the families in the stands - the blood...
let's just say it was unnerving.
let's just say it was unnerving.
(Cringe with me, but know that she's a brave and sweet girl and
that there was NO permanant damage to her pretty face!)
As Parker said she never wanted to play again -
I explained that she will have the Badge of Honor!
Now, to create an actual badge... lol...
I'm just glad that I love craftin'!
Parker told me that her favorite colors are blues and turqoise. I created this 'badge' with the Comfort Cafe material and Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon.
The Antique Brad center and has the feel of
vintage as does the pattern on this material.
Attaching a Pin to the back allows her to use it as a bow attachment or on her outfit as a badge - lol...
Using Midnight Muse cardstock for the base, I nabbed the coordinating Comfort Cafe Papers and cut them - flipping one over. The patterns don't match but the trendy and fun thing is that they are color coordinated and go together.
Attaching, losely, the Pool Party ribbon to the card allows me to pin and hold the ribbon 'badge' to the front of the card - but it is cute even when you take the badge off!
She is a brave little Rock Star and deserves a little Glimmer for actually coming back to practice with gusto!
A great example to her teammates, too!
Using my Big Shot and the Alphabet Bigz Dies with the
Silver Glimmer Paper is a fun way to add some personalization to the card.
Who would YOU give a Badge of Honor to?
Personalized gift and card??
I LOVE that the Papers and Material coordiante and
make it a breeze to match and look amazing!

ReplyDeleteGreat projects! And how thoughtful of you to make them for that little girl. My daughter plays softball. I know how scary those injuries can be. Glad she's okay. Thanks for playing along with the LNS challenge this week.
