Spring Cottage, So Worth the Wait

I'm a country girl at heart...

I grew up in two places - but primarily in a farming community.  We had a killer Aggie (agriculture) dept at our school - Goooo Saints!!

 

When I saw this stamp set I knew it'd be mine!  I like builder sets and this window has me excited... sadly it's going to be GONE this week as it's RETIRING*!!

Here our Pretty In Pink* card stock (#100459) as the base is embossed with our Elegant Bouquet* embossing folder (#115964) and our Big Shot (#113439).  This floral textured background ties in with our Twitterpated* Designer Series Paper (#125406). 

This stamp set really covers all seasons and can open the window to cheer to anyone!

An embossing folder like this, though retiring, is sure to live a long and bright life!

Our Stampin' Write Markers make life easy and FUN!  Here the Pretty In Pink*, Riding Hood Red*, Baja Breeze* are all Retiring* but are full of life!

We used the same markers to color the embossed flowers... it ties into the patterned flowers on the Twitterpated* paper.

Stamping the Spring Window, bird and butterfly on Whisper White card stock (#100730) with Early Espresso ink (#126974) then coloring it in... cutting out our with our Paper Snips (#103579) gives you a real 'open window' feel!

Popping it up with our Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (#104430) for additional dimension.

Colored, embossed flowers adds a fun twist on this card.

Word Play* stamp set (#120308) is a fun and soon to retire stamp set that covers sooo very much!

The Decorative Label punch (#120907) fits a ton while being elegant and classic.

My friends and family back East sooo know what it's like to wait on Spring... it's sooo worth the wait to them - lol.

Patterned Pool Party

I have dyslexia.  My brother, one of my sisters, quite a few of my cousins, my grandfather (we suspect) all have dyslexia.  It's a learning disability, one that I've been blessed to have coping mechanisms learned and am planning to some day be an author. 

 

When my daughter had struggles in school this past year, I knew right away what it was.  I have faith that she, too, will overcome this struggle.  Her school, teacher, tutor in addition to our help will have her succeed!

 

This card embodies my desire for her..

With Island Indigo, a former In-Color, now part of our Regals Color Collection, card stock (#122923) base this card is rich and elegant. 

 

Add our New Pool Party, another former In-Color and new member of our Subtles Collection, here the Core'dination Cardstock (Subtles Core'dination card stock collection #129954)  and our Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series paper (#130141).... this card comes to LIFE!

Running this 4" x 4" Pool Party Core'dination card stock through the Big Shot (#113439) and the New Modern Mosaic (#129984) embossing folder.

Rubbing the top of this patterned paper in a circular manner with our new Stampin' Sanding System (#129367).  This block is easy on the hand and has replacement sanding sheets - very low cost ($1.95 for refills!! #129368).  When you rough up the Core-dination card stocks the inner 'core' is revealed.  A monochromatic lighter version of the exterior color!

 

Our Dust Buddy (#129366) wipe your project and surface clean of any shredded papers!

The NEW Mosaic punch (#131267) coordinates PERFECTLY with the NEW Mosaic Madness stamp set (#130246).  It ties into the patterned Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper, too!  Stamping the Mosaic Madness stamps with Island Indigo ink (#126986) on Whisper White card stock (#100730) then punching them out - layering them over the textured pattern allows for a sharp look.

Stamping this Feel Goods (#131916) stamp sentiment with Island Indigo on this pretty paper then rubbing the stamped piece into the ink pad adds as small layer that sets it apart in a subtle way.

Sweeten this card with these luster and elegance with our adhesive backed Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247).  The sheet comes with 150 pearls in 3 sizes for only $4.95 - WOW!  The varying sizes allows for perfect accentuation with perfect coordination!!

My big baby girl can and will overcome this challenge.. being stronger for it!  (My cousins overcame it and one is even a published author!!)

What is Black and White and Read all over....

(a newspaper/book/kindle - lol)

It's a favorite joke of my kids....

so when I create this card I wondered

What is White and White and White?!?!
 

Here you go, a Sneak Peak into our New Catalog and a different Mod Style Inspired card!

When I see this Mosaic Pattern I am brought back to my childhood and watching Agent Smart with my parents... the thick black liquid eye liner, white go go boots and white mosaic used in fashion and decoration.  (I think my love of fashion, boots and eye make-up came early in my life, lol.)

With our New Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper with two beautiful Whisper White quatrefoil printed window sheets... our Big Shot (#113439), New Modern Mosiac Embossing Folder (#129984), the Delicate Details Lace Tape, our adhesive backed Rhinestone Basic Jewels... tied together with the help of our Sticky Strip adhesive (#104294) and Whisper White Baker's Twine (#124262). 

With a 4-1/4" x 6" piece of Whisper White card stock (#100730).  Our Stampin' Trimmer (#126889) makes scoring easy with it's dual blade ability, it can cut andddd score!  (Score, baby!! lol)  Adhere the Red Sticky Strip - it's double sided - so you peel it from the roll and adhere where you want, cutting off any unnecessary length.  When placed where you want it, you can use your Bone Folder (#102300) to re-fold the scored and adhesive covered sections. 

Our Detail Lace Tape is a pop of additional white on this card... and oh so easy to add!!  These window sheets are awesome, aren't they?!?!

Removing the backing on ONE side of the card of the Sticky Strip, the adhesive is now VERY Sticky and Clear!  Tuck the Modern Mosaic embossed piece of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Whisper White card stock under the other covered adhesive 1/4" lip.  This will assure that it can become a tri-folded card and close correctly!

The section I left on the edge, behind the Detail Lace Tape is where I will adhesive the other side/top of the card.

The Modern Mosaic embossing is the boss - lol - isn't it?!?!  (Having Pun, yet?!?! bahahaha)

I can't wait to coordinate it with our New Mosaic paper punch (#131267) and coordinating stamps, papers, etc!

 

The inside looks like soooo.. the flaps are hidden and yet the Sticky Strip and 1/4" scored flaps do the job!

Closing the Card and the Embossed flap down before removing and adhering the Window Sheet prevents any sticky situations, lol.

BAM and pretty all white tri-fold card that is sure to brighten someone's day!  What would YOU stamp on the inside?!??  I'm thinking a Silver Embossed greeting... leave me a comment and let me know, baby, wedding, anniversary, birthday...

It's subtle but the pattern on pattern on pattern in all Whisper White is elegant, crisp and fresh - like freshly laundered white clothes...
a rich look that is easy to achieve!

Tied up, this Baker's Twine hides the subtle gloss of the Sticky Strip while coordinating with the card!  The dash of sparkly is very rich looking, at a lower cost.  Who doesn't love sparkle?!?!!!

So, one of our last Bible Study meetings this shirt inspired this card!  This beautiful white on white card, elegant, sheer, refined inspired me to play with this look!  What do YOU think?!?!  What inspires YOU?!?!!  (leave me a comment and let me know)

I LOVE the results and trying to capture it in a picture is challenging - lol.  I hope that this comes across with the cool elements and all white theme.

All one Color - devoid of color... actually I never did understand how White's art definition is a combination of all color while black is devoid.. seriously, have you seen what mixing all color looks like?!?!  (Come to my house, my kids will be glad to demonstrate that - lol.)  CLICK HERE to see a definition of colors... how funny is that?!?!

Asking for help is something that comes hard to me.  When I do ask or even receive help, the blessing it is.. is HUGE!!  This card is how I feel, kind of like the world/life may be raining down on me but help makes it bearable!!

Our Million-Dollar Moments stamp set is a stylish, fun set that covers so much!  Here stamping it on our Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) with our Island Indigo ink (#126986 - it's an In-Color that is NOW becoming a part of our permanent color family!!).  Stamping her and her raining flowers is easy.  Stamping this sweet duck (quack!) next to her in So Saffron (#126957) adds a sweet whimsical touch!!

Framing it is easy with our Big Shot (#113439) and our Apothecary Accents framelits (#127003) creates a clean lined look.  This beautiful Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (#129311) is soon to retire!!  This beautiful color combo of Lucky Limeade* (soon to retire!!), Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Island Indigo and So Saffron is classic and the collection pulls them together in a quilted elegant combo!!

Stamping our 'thanks a million' sentiment in Island Indigo ink on the Very Vanilla card stock ties the look together.  Popping the sentiment out with our New 7/8" Scallop Circle punch (#129404) and layering it with our Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (#104430) over one of our circles on the paper for a cohesive look!

Tie it up with our soon-to-retire Ruffled 3/8" Lucky Limeade ribbon (#122977).  Adding this pop of green balances the other colors while keeping it all color coordinated!!

I love distressed, vintage, crochet and antique... almost anything!  So when these New Papers, Stamps, and more came out... I couldn't resist pulling them together to create this lovely

'Mr. & Mrs.' card!!
