Dodgers Inspired Birthday

Celebrate a fun birthday with a toast to the awesome baseball season our Los Angeles Dodgers had this year!  When little Jag turned 2, I just couldn't resist grabbing this mini Dodgers outfit and creating a card that matches!

What do you think?!?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share this (and me) with your family and friends... Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this and Follow Me on this avenues (YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn, too!).
Jag is the first born to a sports loving dad.  When his dad went pro in basketball, I couldn't resist a nod to Jag's 1st birthday with a Basketball card

This year, we have all been vying tickets to and celebrating the Dodger's winning game streak this year!  This ensemble inspired a fun card that plays on the LA Dodgers logo to Celebrate Jag!
Dodger Blue was attained using our Pacific Point card stock (#111350).
Create a fun baseball with the help of our Big Shot Die Cutting Machine* and our Circles Collection Framelits* (#130911).  The Big Shot Magnetic Platform* holds the framelits right where you want it for precision placement and cutting!

Using the Big Shot and creating 3D stitching (much like a baseball has) using our Needlepoint Border embossing folder (#129383) to create this fun textured accent.  Highlighting the raised stitches with our Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052) - easy peasy!
My little helper, lol.

Using the Whisper White card stock here, as well, (#100730) and the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine* I created these fun letters.  Our Typeset Alphabet Bigz* (#127553) die cuts these letters - allowing for easy personalization of any project!
Fun look, Texture, the Baseball raised for dimension - using our Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive (#104430).  The raised texture and fun letter play on the logo... any sports fan would love to receive this card!
OK Cheer with me... we scored Box Seats this past Saturday.. what fun!!  With their famous Dodger Dogs, Garlic fries, my hubby, son and his pal.. we cheered on the home team with zeal!
The stadium was sold out, the roar of the crowd was contagious... it was a hoot, even if they lost - lol...
I'm so glad you joined the game today - ok, so maybe just me and my blog, lol.  I try to post daily and hope to see you back often - bring your friends along to play!  Come Play (in person or virtually) in my classes!!

* Join the Fun!

Cheer Jag on with us!  Every Sports loving fan will enjoy a card that gives props to their favorite team and sport!!  Giving a Personalized card and gift is a great way to show you care.  What team and sport would you celebrate?!?!

Halloween Pumpkin

It has started!  My kiddo's have brought home their first crop of pumpkins... school sent home their first mini-pumpkin of the season, my daughter dropped it as she ran to the car at pick-up.  Assured that yes, yes we cannnn make a pumpkin pie from it (ummm - really, is this possible?!?! eek!).  We came home to create this sweet shaped card that is sure to add flavor to a friend's day.

What do you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share this, Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this and Follow Me on these channels!  (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, too!)
Taking a Pumpkin Pie card stock (#105117) scored at 4-1/4" this 5-1/2" wide card is ideal to create a 3D Pumpkin!  Adding fun accents, texture, shine... and this is a card to be savored!

Run this through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine* (#113439) with the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821) to mimic the texture of the pumpkin.  Fold and then using the Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658) and the large scalloped oval from the Ovals collection (#129381) making sure to leave a section on the top that will NOT Be cut - lol.

Running Old Olive card stock (#100702) through the Big Shot and the Autumn Accents Bigz die (#127812) to create these great leaves.  Adding texture with the Woodgrain embossing folder is a fun cohesive look.

Using the Chocolate chip Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (#130132) to create this cute Acorn from the Autumn Accent Bigz.  Create the 'stem' from our Decorative Label Punch (#120907) and this paper for two stems from one punch!
When you have a fun card with texture... sometimes it's a blast to add a dash of shine!  The amazing Gold Foil Sheet (#132622 - Holiday pg 28) is a great accent.  Stamping this Happy Halloween from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (#122652) fits PERFECTLY in the Modern Label Punch (#119849).

In order to make a sentiment stay on this paper, use the yummy scented (reminds me of the fun ditto machines created during test days - lol) Jet Black Stazon ink (#101406).  This permanent solvent ink dries quick and can be stamped on a vast array of surfaces.  From glass to surfaces like this Gold Foil sheet, Stazon is a must for your crafting supply.
I love how it fits in the modern label punch, looks so sharp on the textured card, holding it's own next to this patterned acorn.
I'm so glad you came by today!  I try to post daily and hope to see you visit often.  Please share me with your friends and family!!  I hope this card makes your day tasty!  JOIN ME in my upcoming, on-going, virtural optioned Big Shot Club!  CLICK HERE to see MORE on the FUN you will have!

This pumpkin is sure to warm the day of someone special!  Add some texture and joy to a friend's life.  Send a card, it's a sure fire way to bless someone.  This Pumpkin Card is ideal for Fall and nods to Halloween and Harvest.  Bring home this pumpkin, or send it out, with no fear of work in the kitchen or messy, broken pumpkins (lol).

It's Amazing How You Sparkle!

There are times when it's fun to celebrate someone who lights up your life!  They Sparkle and Shine.  'Amazing You' covers so many celebrations and this vintage inspired card is sure to bedazzle whomever receives it!
Created to celebrate an amazing friend... this card is inspired by this stunning vintage dress!
This dress took my breath away!  a fun Pinterest Pin... I just couldn't resist creating a jeweled, feathered card that is sure to add bling to a friend's day!  This Mono-Chromatic card is far from one-dimensional or dull, lol.
The base of Smoky Slate card stock (#131202) gives me a soft grey look.  This Smoky Slate picks up the attributes of silver... I love 'chameleon' colors like this.
Stamping the Fine Feathers (#126517) in Smoky Slate ink (#131179) on Whisper White card stock (#100730) and quickly cover the wet ink with Iridescent Ice embossing powder (#101930).  Heat set with our Heat Tool (#129053).  This glittered embossing powder is clear with pretty flecks of iridescent sparkle, oh so pretty!

Placing adhesive backed Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) in the center of the Peacock feather for a rich jeweled look!
Taking Tea Lace Paper Doilies (#129399) and add adhesive to the edges.  Here this Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755) with the broad tip (it has two tips for different needs).  Apply the Silver Stampin' Glitter (#132205 - Holiday pg.29) for a fun effect.

Amazing you is from the Hostess Exclusive Express Yourself stamp set (#130339).  Join me as a Hostess for a Private Class where I bring you the fun and you earn the Shopping Spree!  Stamped in Smoky Slate ink, framed with these linked adhesive backed Rhinestones (#119246) for an uber fun blinged card!

It's the Great Pumpkin...

What does FALL bring to mind??  For me it's family time, hot apple cider, pumpkin bread and yummy soups.  Holiday movies abound, much like one of my FAVORITE movies, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!!  This fun fall Happy Halloween card is inspired by this wonderful, timeless movie.

What do YOU Think?!?!  Leave me a comment and let me know!  Share this (and Me) with your family and friends!  Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this and Follow me (on YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, too!).
Pumpkin is what I call my babies... maybe it goes to show how very much I LOVEEEEE Fall!!
Taking Pumpkin Pie card stock (#105117) for the base of this card.  Add a cool layer when the Core'dinations card stock like this Early Espresso piece (Neutrals collection of Core'Dination #129956).  Running it through my Big Shot and the Honeycomb embossing folder (#129378).  Sand the Top of the raised embossing with the Stampin' Sanding System (#129367) to reveal the lighter, coordinated inner color!  What a cool effect!!

Distressed... it reminds me of the dark pumpkin field where the clouds and stars highlighted the sky as they waited for The Great Pumpkin.
Create a Pumpkin!!  Using the 1" Circle Punch (#119868) punch three circles from the Pumpkin Pie card stock (#105117) and using the Stampin' Sponges (#101610) and rub the edges in Early Espresso ink.  This adds dimension while supporting the separate levels of layered circles.  This aides them in standing apart from one another.  Layer using the Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive (#104430) to hold the three pieces together while adding dimension.

Adhering a folded Pear Pizzazz Taffeta Ribbon (#131208) for a cute stem... it's soft and a great additional texture to this card.
OK I couldn't resist a "Whoot! Whoot!!" to Ashley for this cool spin on my original design.  I love that the ladies in my class have such creative license and can create great spins on my ideas!  Here she added the stamp to the center of the pumpkin... isn't it just darling?!?!
This fun Hostess Exclusive Perfectly You stamp set (#131877) is a great mix of sentiments!  It coordinates with the Hexagon Punch (#130919) and Hearts A Flutter Framelits (#130159) and Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (#113439)* while the Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658)* holds it in place for precision cutting. (*See HOW Hostesses can get these for FREE or 1/2 off!)

Punching through the front of this layered card front to reveal this stamped image inside... it's a fun spin on where a sentiment goes!

Open this card to see the sentiment inside - this little pumpkin smiling up at you!  It's hard to NOT Smile back!!  It also leaves plenty of room to write!

Doesn't this movie make you smile?!?!  I couldn't resist whipping the DVD out for my kiddos.. then looked up some fun ideas for a Charlie Brown themed dessert.  These cupcakes are a fast, easy and sure-fire-way to celebrate a movie day with friends or a gift to someone who needs a smile!
Thank you for coming by today!!  I hope you'll join the fun with Bonus Projects and Tutorials on the Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Mailing List!  I try to post daily - please share me and come to visit often!

Celebrate FALL with this sweet card... and honor your favorite memories!  Give these memories to another; I hope my children will think of these days when they look back on their childhood!  I'm rubbing my hands together as I plan Pumpkin flavored cupcakes decorated oh-so-Charlie-Brown and a Movie Day for my kids and their friends!!  Have a Spicy and Sweet Fall!!  I'm raising my Hot Apple Cider in a Toast to YOU (OK and Fall - lol).

Adding a dash more of silver with our Silver Foil Sheets (#132178 pg. 28 Holiday catalog) that I embossed using the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#132174 Holiday pg. 22) and my Big Shot Die-Cutting machine (#113439).  This card should shine, like the special day it's celebrating!
Heat Embossing Silver Embossing Powder (#109131)  this pin striped Cycle Celebration stamp set (#130273) for a coordinated and fun vibe on top of the Island Indigo.  Our Versa Mark pad (#102283) and Heat Tool (#129053) allow this cool look, quickly and easily!  Punch it out with our Decorative Label punch (#120907) for an easy accent and greeting!

Elegant Lady? Give an Elegant Birthday Gift (in a Jar!)

Do YOU like to give gifts that are appreciated over and over?  Perfectly sized??  It can be what they say 'it's the thought that counts' when you give a Personalized gift!  Speaking to someone's style meeting their needs, and wowing them when they feel special because it's all about them and how you know them!  Join me as I celebrate a good family friend's birthday with this awesome jar for her birthday!

What do you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share this, Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, and Follow Me on those avenues, YouTube, Instagram, The Vine, LinkedIn, too!
Feminine, Elegant, Vintage and Classic... this is our good friend Donna.  Creating a gift that meets those requirements is sheer joy!  Melinda, her daughter, and I work out at the gym around 5am daily... we actually met through her mom!  So when we are asked, at the gym, if we are sisters - we have to laugh!  I do love her mom like a mom.

Taking this Ball jar and creating a fun gift... I started with Etcetera (#130129) Designer Series Paper.  Take ANY jar you have - re purposed or not and create a custom gift!  Here I created a 'belly band' with the Etcetera.  Using a scrap to 'fill in' the small missing piece is fine - this eclectic mix of print and design allows for this.
Hot Glue will be a must on this whole package.
Incorporating Champagne Glimmer Paper (#127885) for a warm sparkle... the Cupcake Builder punch (#121807) and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch (#118874) combined with the Etcetera paper and the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (#119854) create this fun centerpiece that is sure to celebrate her special day!
Little Presents??  Oh YES!  Donna (and her daughter Melinda) love chocolate!  So I took a strip of the Etcetera Designer Series Paper and wrapped these chocolate nuggets.  Taking the Small Oval punch (#120908) and using alternating pattern sides for a cohesive look I folded in half two ovals to create these sweet bows!  Hot glue holds this together and the Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577), though adhesive backed, stay on better and hide the center of this bow with the residual hot glue.
Aren't these sweet nuggets wonderful gifts??  Easy and sure to WOW.  Giving chocolates is a sure fire way to bless most people, but wrapping them to resemble a present adds something awesome, don't you think?!?!

Taking our 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch and the 3/4" Circle punch (#119873) create a top for these miniature battery operated tea-lights.  Wrapping the edge in this lace paper reminds me of a pretty decorated cake.  Hot gluing the edges of this scallop punched topper for a pretty polka dot cake look.  The everlasting, calorie-free cake - YAY!
The Envelope Punch (#133774) is awesome!  I adore creating envelopes and cards with it!!  here taking a piece of the Etcetera paper to create a wonderful coordinating envelope.  This new product makes me look awesome - YAY!!!  Here it created a pretty envelope for a 3" card.

Adhering this Vintage Faceted Designer Button (#127555) to the envelope on only 1/2 of the base of the button allows me to use this as a clasp.  Simply tucking the flap under for a pretty accent!  I love that these adhesive backed pearls fit right in the center of the buttons!!
The Double Sided Etcetera paper has an automatic liner that is sure to WOW!!  Wouldn't YOU just love to see an envelope like this?!?!  I know I'd be blown away!!
Stamping the Petite Pairs (#122497) birthday sentiment is ideal, it's petite (lol) and doesn't overwhelm the card.  Accenting the card with a reminant of the Victoria Crochet Trim (#118481) that I'd used to wrap the lid of this jar.  I love that a scrap can look like it's not and fit perfectly on a cute card!
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) is an ideal, neutral base so that the pretty paper can be the highlight of this card.  Less is more and this minimal card is pretty perfect, don't you think?

I like to use tissue paper for the base in these jars.  It prevents damage to the contents and limits noise.  Here, tucked in nice and neat, the present is super sweet!  I love that the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911) allows me to pick a perfect top size depending on my jar!  The Big Shot Die-Cutting machine* (#113439) and Magnetic Platform* (#130658) are a must for crafters!!  Cutting through a ton of materials for so many uses! (*See HOW to get the Big Shot and/or Magnetic Platform for FREE or 1/2 off as a Hostess!!)
From THIS... a clean, plane glass jar...
To THIS!!  A gift that is Vintage, Elegant, Classic and FUN!  Perfectly sized as a gift, it's not too big, too small - it's just right (and oh so pretty, too!).

Thanks for coming by - I post to my blog daily... so come often, share me with your friends and family.  Click HERE to see our full line up of catalogs and products, promotions and new items (available to shop from your own home 24/7!)!!  Click HERE to see the line up of fun classes waiting for you - in person or virtually!!

Wouldn't you enjoy a birthday gift that keeps on giving?  A Calorie-Free Cake that is a joy and will live for years to come?!?!  Good things come in Small Packages!  Creating and Giving a Personalized gift that will live and celebrate over and over is a great way to show someone you love them.  How important will someone feel when they see you give a gift that meets their style?!?!  Re purposing and/or thinking out of the box is a fun way to give gifts, isn't it?  Join me in having fun and creating personalized gifts, they'll be WOW'd and You'll look awesome!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
