Candy Corn Halloween Treat Holder

Sweets are sweeter when in a pretty wrapper!  Halloween is a great excuse to purchase a sweet treat.. or a few bags of sweets... and make them extra special when you create a sweet Candy Corn wrapper... just like this!!

Sour Cream containers... it's old school (I distinctly remember having ice-cream from ice-cream trucks as a child...).  I love vintage and celebrating candy (seriously - it's an addcition that I try to avoid...sigh).  Happy Harvest/Halloween... I hope that yours is sweet!!
How to create a Sour Cream/Ice Cream holder... it's simple! 
~ Grab a card stock and cut it into 4's.
~ Taking this Whisper White card stock (#100430) cut into 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece decorate it.
~ Here I used the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#130134) in Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight polka dots to create these 'candy corn' stripes!
~  Apply Sticky Strip adhesive (#104294) to the back side... Along one Short Side . 
~  Apply another strip across the top of one long side - 1/2 way down.
~  Apply the last piece in the middle of the other long side.
It's easy...
~ Now remove the cover on the sticky strip on the short side and roll it to the top of the other side for a strong adhesive. 
~  Remove the side from the top and adhere closed.
~ Fill with Sweet Treats... or gifts of any kind!  Here Candy Corn fills the Candy Corn Treat Holder!!
Isn't that just too sweet?!?!  Who wouldn't LOVE to receive this gift?!?!
Remove the last piece of the Sticky Strip that was on the middle of the other side.  Pushed closed so that it has this unique shape.  Use the Bone Folder (#102300) to strengthen the adhesive!
Pretty Cute... easy and sweet to give!!
Stamping the Pumpkin Pie ink (#126945) and the new Tags 4 You (Holiday pg. 37 #131823) and it's coordinating Label Bracket Punch (#132153) for this adorable tag!! 
 
Our adhesive backed Pearls Basic Jewels collection (#119247) has these tiny pearls that make a great body for this spider!  Color it in with a Black Permanent Marker for this shiny, raised body!  You soooo wouldn't want this little guy dropping down on you... unless he was bring you a gift like this!!!!
I debated where to apply it... it's cute on the front of the holder... but I changed it up...
Using the Whisper White Bakers Twine (#124262) holds this now swinging tag on one side of this cute holder!  It's color coordinated to match the packaging... fill it with a variety of items!  From Candy Corn, to Erasers (hand then out at school), to jewelry... it's a fun and cool Halloween Treat Holder that is sure to sweeten another's day!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now.
