With a Smoky Slate card stock base folded using the Circles Collection Framelits to cut this card on the Magnetic Platform in the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  MAKE SURE, lol, to leave an area NOT Cut on the top so this card isn't in two pieces.

Cut out this 'moon' from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper*.  Stamp this rocket with Smoky Slate ink on this 'moon'.
I love this little play on the moon, don't you??  Accent the stamped 'moon' with the Crystal Effects liquid lacquer adhesive.  This will take a little time to dry but will dry raised and shiny!

Add a POP of color... taking our adhesive backed Rhinestone Jewels and a Red Permanent Marker to create this shining addition of red - perfect for this love filled card!
Once Dry (the Crystal Effects) adhere to the front of the cut card for a cool shaped card that takes you right to the moon.  Who would YOU Gift this to??

For this fun and funky gift you need:
Designer Series Paper (it's two sided for a cool look)
Used Here:
Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper (#130144)
Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper* (#132994)
Express Yourself Hostess stamp set (#130339)
Circles Collection Framelits (#130911)
Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
*New Occasions Mini Catalog Jan 3-June 1
Ideal for a fun themed party or just to send a little love to those in your life... these Fortune Paper "Cookie" is a great way to send some care!

Depending on the size of 'cookie' you wish to create a circle with the paper you chose (here is the new and upcoming Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper from the upcoming New Occasions Mini Catalog coming out next week!

Using Scraps of paper, stamp a sentiment (or hand-write one) that will be a pick-me-up!  This would make a for a FUN Party Game and more!
Here this sentiment from the Hostess Exclusive 'Express Yourself' stamp set in Island Indigo ink matches this paper.  Cutting the ends to have a fun tag like feel is a dash of flair.
Cut the Circle Size you desire with the Circle Framelits... fold in 1/2.  Place your sentiment inside at this point.  Tuck the center of the round 'back' so that it starts folding closed.  Using adhesive to hold the center closed and it resembles the cookie!

What a cool look this Venetian romance paper is.  Create this to match the vibe of the party or person's style.
Depending on the size of the circle you cut, the paper 'cookie' may fold a little along the back.  A strong adhesive in the center of the fold will help secure the cookie to hold it's shape.
Place the adhesive in the center and it will stick - I did find that SNAIL isn't as strong as Glue Dots, Sticky Strip or Hot Glue.
The double sided paper has a cool look as the coordinating style peeks through.
Depending on how you use it - deliver a sweet wish to those you care about!
It's sweet that you came by today.  How 'fortunate' I am that you are here (lol).  I try to post daily and hope that you will pop by and visit often.. bring your family and friends along for the ride!

Take a spin on how you send a wish and sweeten it with this unique and quick paper 'cookie' that won't add to your waist line - lol.  Deliver a sweet wish, a Fun way to play a game at a party, and more... all in one quick and unique wrapped up package.

Romantic Love hand-stamped card

There are many kinds of love in our world... from the 'sisterly love' to the 'love of you children' to the 'passionate love' to a 'love chocolate' to the 'romantic love'.  Celebrate the romantic type of love with this sweet and easy card.  This unique card opens and has even more love.. so go ahead, give this for a wedding or an anniversary... or just because you are feeling romantic!

To create this card you will need:
Soho Subway Designer Series Paper (#130140)
Brushed Gold card stock (#102935)
Early Espresso card stock (#119686)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Gold Encore Pad (#132141)
Vintage Trinkets (#118764)
Pretty Print Embossing Folder (#132175)
Hearts Collection Framelits (#125599)
Magnetic Platform (#130658)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Using my Stampin' Trimmer I cut this card at 5-1/2"  Score at 2-1/8" on each side.  This will create a tri fold card.

Emboss this Very Vanilla card stock with the Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  'Guild' the top of this raised 'romantic' type print with the Gold Encore Metallic Pad rubbed gently across the top of the raised embossing.
Cut in 1/2 and using my SNAIL Adhesive adhere so it meets back up in the middle of this card.
Adding a dash of Vintage fun these metal Vintage Trinkets.  The fun buttons are actually brads and though this card is romantic and a dash feminine, lol, this metal accent is a little nod to the men in our lives - lol.
Pierce this card... well, let the vintage 'safety pin' do this to the card!  I love the graphic and edgy feel it adds to the card.  These Vintage Trinkets come in Antique Brass, Antique Gold and Pewter.  Though small they add a big impact!
Using my Hearts Framelits, Big Shot and Magnetic Platform Punch out the Brushed Gold larger heart and the next size down in the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper.  Because our paper is double sided these images vary but coordinate!  Less wasted paper and double the pleasure!

The Gold Encore pad and Brushed Gold card stock add elegance and shine to this refined card.
Adhering them with Hot Glue (this stands up to the embossing and the interaction of this card).  One heart is adhered across the top of the heart while the bottom 'floats' and the other is the bottom adhered while the top 'floats'.  This allows for them to interact.

Add a little more love to this card... using the smallest of the Hearts Collection Framelits, pop out the center for these two small hearts.  This allows me to use 'unused' parts of the Brushed Gold hearts while adding a fun accent to the inside of the card.
These hearts will stay strong as they interact... delivering some love to those who receive it!

They kind of wrap the card in love (or a hug).
Who would YOU give this card to??  Wedding??  Anniversary??  Just Because??  Leave me a comment and let me know!

I love that you came by today!  Please share me (and the love) with your family and friends!  I try to post tutorials and projects daily... so come by and visit often!

No matter what type of love... this card is sure to warm hearts while sending hugs.  Thankfully love doesn't go out of style... so send vintage wishes of love that will wow!  I come from a long line of love.. my grandparents were married for 70 years... so cherish every moment - and celebrate... send a hand-stamped card!

With Spring on the horizon this floral watercolor card really captures the warmth and new life of that season.  Inspired by this beautiful Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper* and it's stunning stained glass looking floral page the Gumball Green seems like an ideal base to begin.

I took this card two ways and hope you enjoy the difference in style.  Here luxurious pearls find their home in the center of the Watercolor Wonder flowers.  The Gumball Green Satin Stitched Ribbon ties this card together.

Embossed the Flower Garden Embossing Folder for a fun raised and subtle texture to the card.
Flip the Embossing Folder over to DeBoss (the opposite of embossing) this Silver Ribbon ties the Rhinestone accented page together.  BALANCE the card when you hang the banner on the opposite side of the embossed/debossed flowers.  Raise the Flag (lol) when you use our Stampin' Dimensional adhesive to add more depth to this card.
Stamping this Peaceful Petals stamp under the Perfect Pennants sentiment Island Indigo ink stamped and framelit die-cut out banner.  It is subtle but oh so elegant.
No matter if you are a bling or pearl kind of person, you can make this project to fit just your (or whomever you are sending it to's) style.

Creating this with my friend Elizabeth, she's having a hard time of life as of late... we enjoyed playing and talking, drinking coffee while letting our kids play.  This card embodies her life's motto (and mine).  Go ahead, life is hard... but find moments of wonder and celebrate - even if it's just in your heart.  I'm beyond excited about the new Occasions Mini Catalog* and would love to give you one... let's connect!

Paired together with the aide of my Color Coach (#130118) this Island Indigo and Pool Party is a lovely monochromatic pair.  I love the look of the Island Indigo ink on the Pool Party.
Adding this polka dot strip from the Perfect Pennants stamp set to the top and bottom of the page I love the pop of the Rhinestone Jewels to the dots!  It frames up this card, too.
Layering the polka dot strip in a staggered look it balances the card and sentiment on the other corner.  The dash of sparkle to this card is a fun addition with a cool and mat look to this card.

Created to celebrate a dad (and dear friend of our family) his wife and I had FUN playing with the * New Occasions Catalog Products!

Giving her hubby a camera lens for Christmas this On Film Framelits collection and Look Up to Father stamp set create the perfect card.

Here with the On-Film Framelits, Very Vanilla card stock, Big Shot and Magnetic Platform punch out this retro and cool Polaroid type image (all the rage these days, don't cha know?!?).The textured edges and remind me of those puffed pictures (you just prayed came out OK - lol).
Taking the 'picture' area that was puched out with the Big Shot and On-Film framelits stamp the Tree from Looking Up to Father stamp.

Paired together, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight create a wonderful collection.

Starting with the Daffodil Delight (always start with the lighter color) and rub around the base of the tree and about 1/2 way up with the Stampin' Sponge.  Start at the top of the paper and rub the Cherry Cobbler ink 1/2 way down and around the tree.

Add a dash of sparkle that even a man can enjoy! Our Dazzling Details is a liquid sparkle glue with a subtle iridescence.  I love that when the sun does set, it often does make the feel of 'fairies' come to life... when the rich colors of sunset make the leaves dance and shine.
Layered with the edges from the Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive - you prevent waste and have a thin edge to use and create that puffed up feel.  Secure the center 'picture' in the center with the aid of the SNAIL (Simple Neat Affordable In-Line refillable adhesive).

Add this Camera in Brushed Gold card stock from the On-Film framelits with the SNAIL adhesive.  It's a nod to times of old while remaining classic and cool!
Thank you for coming by today!  I hope this snapshot into our new *Occasions Catalog will get you excited!  Remember that you can shop 24/7 while earning Bonus Frequent Buyer Points for Discounts on Classes or Products!!

Capture the essence of a gift with this nod to retro style.  Cool, New and yet Retro... this collection is an ideal way to be on trend.  The girls who are gifting this camera goodies will honor their father ("Old Man", lol) and surely make him smile.  What would YOU secure in a 'snap shot'?  From adding pictures to hand-stamped art... you can personalize this gift for those who lived the Retro era to those who like to look back on it!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
