Joy in our world, a feminine hand-stamped card

Create a hand-stamped card that is inspired by the very person you are giving it to.  I love how our paper-crafting allows for a card to embody the grace and fun of the person.  Here a hand-stamped card that is 6"x8" and a customized envelope are a great way to say 'Thanks' while sending a good friend off on an amazing adventure!

For this extra-large card you will need:
12"x12" piece of Crumb Cake card stock (#124274)
Chocolate Chip card stock (#102128)
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650)
Etcetera Designers Series Paper (#130129)
Calypso Coral ink (#126983)
Victoria Crochet Trim (#118481)
Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim (#130021)
Pearl Jewels (#119247)
Feel Goods stamp set (#129584)
Stampin' Trimmer (#126889)
Envelope Punch (#133774)
Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439)
Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658)
Labels Collection Framelits (#125598)
Dress Up Framelits (#130101)

Start with the Crumb Cake card stock.  Cut off down to 8"x12".  Using the same Stampin' Trimmer score at the 3" and 6" for a tri-fold card.
Our dear friend and co-director of Children's Ministry at our church, Joy, is one of the best dressed 'dames' I know... she is leaving us for a wonderful education in London, England!!  So we had to have a card that reflects her elegant, vintage style... as many of us parents send a note of love.

Here a very feminine and vintage dress comes to life with the Etcetera Designer Series Paper and Dress Up framelits!  Adding the Ruffled Trim embraces the extra wow of Joy's style!  Adding the 'dress stand' in Chocolate Chip gives a dark accent to this vintage card.

Layered on the Etcetra that wraps around for a 'belly band' that wraps this card in style.
Stamped with Calypso Coral ink on Very Vanilla card stock this Feel Goods stamp set comes to life.  The Labels Collection Framelits really do lay out a feminine and vintage vibe while framing this Sunshine sentiment oh so perfectly.
Feminine and elegant touches like this rose piece from the Etcetra Designer Series Paper Collection... it's a touch of different color while embracing the feminine and vintage elegance of Joy's style and yet break up the color palate.
Tri fold cards, especially so large, are ideal for a piece that multiple people need to sign... this worked so well!
This Envelope was quickly created with the Envelope Punch make for a pretty and cool envelope.  It even hand, ha, ha, ha, the 'Made in England' noted on these rulers and that is just ideal as it's sending Joy off to that very land.
The Double Sided Designer Series Paper creates an automatic coordinated 'liner' to the envelope.  This In Color Boutique Details is coordinated to the project, adhered only on the bottom so it allows for the flap to tuck in.
What a lovely embellishment to this card.
A coordinated project with an adhesive backed Pearl accent.... it's almost as lovely as our dear friend Joy!
Myyyyy little kids are the Shepard's on the Left... as Joy's last coordinated program for our church, it was amazing!
My little angels are in the center in grey... it was our baby's first performance and having her big sister there was a real blessing!  Joy was sitting in front of the tree.... our church family will miss her..... her sweet smile, love of our kids and awesome style!
As the girls rolled around later in the performance, I couldn't resist capturing Joy in the background... directing the kids.
Creating a personalized hand-stamped card is a great way to show that you love and care!  With coordinating products in a broad variety of styles it's fun and easy to do!  So, go ahead, have fun when creating a gift... it's a great way to show you love and appreciate someone!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
