Patent Leather Shoe hand-stamped card

As the weather warms up (really, in my neck of the woods, you may see me in peep toe shoes year round...) you will see a new crop of stunning shoes walking about!  People grabbing their pedicures, so that these shoes put forth their best foot (lol).  Creating this cute hand-stamped card was inspired by these great new shoes I saw and will probably go back to buy.  So in toast to the new warmer weather, I place my best foot forward and am showcasing a pretty patent-leather looking pair of shoes in a hand-stamped card!
Create this fashionista 3" hand-stamped patent-leather card with:
Whisper White 12" card stock (#124302)
Hostess Exclusive Making A Point stamp set (#133056w/133059c)
Embossing Buddy (#103083)
Versa Mark pad (#102283)
Black Embossing Powder (#109133)
Heat Tool (#129053)
Aqua Painter (#103954)
Rich Razzleberry ink (#126950)
Basic Black ink (#126980)
Crystal Effects adhesive (#101055)
Brights Candy Dots (#130931)
Rhinestone Jewels (#119246)
I adore shoes... if you read my blog, fashion is a passion of mine!  So creating this pretty card after seeing a recent pair of fab shoes... it's not a surprise.

Take this stunning shoe stamp from the Making A Point Hostess Exclusive stamp set and make it have a cool glass/patent leather feel.

Rub the Embossing Buddy over the folded 3" Whisper White card.  Stamp the shoe stamp with Versa Mark ink on the card.  Cover with Black Embossing Powder and shake off the excess (the Embossing Buddy will aide in the powder sticking to the area YOU want and not the rest of the card).  Heat set with the Heat Tool for a shiny black outlined shoe!!
Accent this card and shoe with some bling!  Here the Rich Razzleberry adhesive backed Candy Dots from the Brights Collection and the adhesive backed Rhinestone Jewels add fun color coordinated bling accessories!!  (Every girl loves her accessories, doesn't she?? Have fun and add accessories to your cards!)
Using the Aqua Painter and the Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black ink pads to color the shoe in.  Squeeze the pad while closed this will give you a perfect amount of ink to use!  Color in the hoe, adding shadow and accent the bow... have FUN with it!!

The Heat Embossed image will have a slight lip.  Use the Crystal Effects liquid adhesive carefully (it doesn't take much and will come out quickly) and fill in the shoe while the heat embossed lines will aide in keeping the adhesive where you want it!  LET DRY for 15-30 or longer minutes... this will dry crystal clear and resemble in look and texture a fly pair of patent leather shoes!!

Crystal Effects is a liquid lacquer and adhesive - dries so clear.  It does have a special lid that aides in it's being reusable so keep it close and use it.  The secret is to 'clear' the application tube/tip when you are done as this glue will dry (I keep a tooth pick around to clear any blockages).  I also store it standing upright for a longer life!

With so many daughters, it's no wonder that my love of fashion is handed down. Maybe some day it will mean my shoe and clothing wardrobe will be multiplied!  (Here is my almost 3 year old in my 5" peep toes lol)

Put YOUR best foot forward with this high-shine peep toe shoe that is sure to brighten anyone's day!  I'm sure we all know those who love fashion and shoes, those who get Pedi's year round... this hand-stamped patent-leather shoe card is a fun way to celebrate your friendship with a person like that (or those who love it from afar).  I hope that you know you brighten MY day!  Thanks for making it more beautiful by coming by!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
