First Catch Memory Documenting and Celebrating

This summer my husband gave our kids lessons in fishing when our son caught his first fish!  On his own!!  Not only did he catch his first fish, it was large enough to win him the Trophy for the fishing competition at the lake!  So finding time to create a great spread in our 2014 Book was fun to do.  Using the Project Life and Happiness Is card and accessory collection makes it easy, coordinated and fun.  Join me this Memory Celebrating Monday and see how easy it is.

Let ME give YOU the Gift of Pictures... I don't receive anything for this referral but I found the Coolest App that I have to share with you!  CLICK HERE to see more on the Groovebook App and how to print 100 photos for FREE (yes, Free) from your smart phone!!  Printing your photos is more than 1/2 of the struggle in documenting our lives, isn't it?
My daughter is.... Brave, Funny, a Snuggler... she was the only kid to actually hold the fresh worms (eww, lol). I couldn't resist highlighting her as she was completely enjoying time fishing.  I love the view of Dad and 3 of our kids on the docks at 8am, fishing... while mom has her coffee.
What a FISH!  So many firsts... first catch for my son, first trophy in fishing, first time my hubby had to clean a fish, first time my son had seen a fish's eggs, first time we ever cooked a fish the kids caught and ate it (no one liked it - maybe a different method next time - lol).
The Happiness Is card and accessory collections have great colors and patterns.  Here the card used to journal about my son's fine catch has what resembles waves!  "Amazing" says it all on the highlight of the trip for Father and Son (we were all bursting with pride!).

I love that this quick system allows me to highlight their achievements and no pressure to journal too much.  The pictures say so much - it's great to highlight them.  I love how fun it is to celebrate their childhood memories and leave behind a legacy of love and memories.
When the kids are home... PLAY!  OK so not really - but when my youngest four were home with colds and fevers (sigh - today is a prize of a day), I couldn't resist giving them something positive to work on.  So when they were being cranky and agitated with each other I whipped out their This and That Books as I created some pages from our Summer Memories.

When a family crafts and relives their memories together, they are only going to grow stronger for it.  It's a great way to be creative with their time, while celebrating their life.

Summer memories are special - time together with less running about, it will soon be gone as the kids are quickly growing.  Here my son caught his first fish and won a trophy!  Taking time to create a spread on this was quick, easy and fun to do using the Project Life system.  I'm a busy mom with a slew of kids (most home sick today) and my time is limited.  I hope that YOU enjoyed this Memory Celebrating Monday postJoin me in our free Memory Celebrating Afternoon events and on Memory Celebrating Mondays!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
