Classic Birthday Card

I love classic cars.  Some day I will be the hot grandma in a beautiful midnight blue vintage ride.  I've always loved trolling car shows and hanging with neighbors who worked on their cars.  In honor of those men in my life and those who collect vintage rides.. here is a vintage, classic, masculine hand-crafted birthday card.  Join Us and create four fabulous birthday cards in one crafternoon (and take if for free with a minimum purchase!!) on Aug. 22nd.
Create this Masculine Classic Birthday card with:
Guy Greetings (wood 138825/clear 138828/ photopolymer 137178)
Basic Black card stock (121045)
Very Vanilla card stock (101650)

Create this vintage card with our awesome crafting supplies!  With a beautiful Basic Black card stock as a dramatic card.  Layer the Gold Fancy Foil sheet over the center using the SNAIL adhesive behind the stripes of gold.

Tool Tip:  Vellum will show adhesive unless you hide it.  Hide it behind or layer over it.  I like to use Glue Dots with Vellum for it's strength and being so small.

Layer the beautiful Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper over it.  With a thin, vintage feel to the paper it is contemporary in it's strength and style.
The Guy Greeting stamp set is a must!!  So versatile and filled with style.  Stamping the Gold Foil Sheet with this Happy Birthday sentiment is easy to do using the Jet Black Stazon ink pad.

Stamp the vintage ride onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with the Stazon ink pad.  Color in using the brush side of the Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker from the Neutrals Collection.  Cut out using our fabulous Paper Snips and adhere to the card front using Stampin' Dimensional adhesive for added interest and depth.

Tool Tip - most inks will not stay on the nonporous surface of the foil sheets.  The solvent ink of the Jet Black Stazon ink pad will!  Using Stazon solvent or Archival ink pads is key in coloring and water coloring.  It's designed to not bleed, holding it's color and the stamped image true.  It also smells yummy - like almonds - a bonus treat, lol.

My hubby doesn't work on cars but a universally masculine card like this is perfect to give to 90% of the men in your life.  With rich gold accents, beautiful double sided printed paper and a cool car on the front, it's prefect for that man (or me - so not a man) in your life (lol). From a recent card making class - this card was a hit! Join Us and deliver hugs and smiles wrapped in a card at the upcoming Birthday Party crafternoon  (in person or on-line in our To-Go class option) and more classes coming your way!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
