Vintage Hello hand-stamped card

Some things are classic and timeless... like a good friend or fun vintage typewriters!  Growing up I would type on my dad's old turquoise typewriter while he worked in his office.  Take those memories of old (or that you wish you had) and create a fun vintage hello hand-stamped card!  This is a great way to deliver smiles and memories all wrapped up in a hand-crafted card.  Join Us at Upcoming Card Making classes and you, too, can deliver smiles in the mail (classes available in-person or to-go)!
Create this vintage hello card with:
Tap Tap Tap stamp set (wood 134201/clear 134204)
Crumb Cake card stock (120953)
Very Vanilla card stock (101650)
Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper (133704)
Crumb Cake ink pad (126975)
Versa Mark ink pad (102283)
Black Embossing Powder (109133)
Embossing Buddy (103083)
Heat Tool (129053)
Aqua Painter (103954)

Create this sharp black image with our Heat Embossing.
~ Rub the Very Vanilla (and the Crumb Cake) card stock with the Embossing Buddy (to prep the surface for a cleaner embossed image).
~ Stamp the images with the Versa Mark ink pad (a clear ink that if dried will allow for a water mark image).
~Cover with the Black Embossing Powder and shake off the excess.
~ Heat set with our Heat Tool and this sharp black raised image will appear.

Once heat set then I used the Crumb Cake ink pad and the Aqua Painter to paint in this vintage hand-stamped typewriter.
Now a days, I am on the hunt to get one for my kids (and maybe me) to play with!  That tap, tap, tap of the keys as I would write letters. I love how this Tap Tap Tap stamp set really coordinates with the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The Typeset is a Specialty Designer Series Paper as it's thinner and even feels a little vintage.

Vintage is now new again.  So many of the new generation will find the typewriter (we used to learn typing on - which isn't even a class anymore!!) to the cassette new!  I love so much that is vintage and how it's still on-trend right now!  This fun card was create at a recent card making class (join us in-person or to-go).  Sending little works of art out in the mail wrapped up in a hand-stamped card and deliver smiles (I can't draw much but I love that stamping and paper crafting makes it easy to be artistic).  Happy Stamping - come visit again!!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
