Being ill + crafts = unproductivity

by

Have you been coming here in search of fresh new content? If so, please allow me to apologize. I’ve been quite sick with a cold (the changing of the seasons always gets me) and this week is particularly busy as I will have been working 8 days in a row by Sunday, a couple of days I worked at both my full time job and my part time job. Shockingly enough, that sort of schedule is not conducive to either crafting, or writing about crafting.

I’d hate to leave you without some neat things to do so I scoured the web for some cute crafts that you can do very quickly. I came across J Caroline Creatitve! and when you check out her beautiful craft tutorials (which you can do here), you’ll see why I’m so enamoured..

(I was going to “borrow” pictures from the site but to avoid potential copyright issues, you’ll just have to go there and see for yourself.)

Ponytail holders
If you have some scrap fabric pieces, a little bit of time, and some hair that needs to be prettily held away from your face, please give these nifty things a try. I can’t wait to try them out myself. I first saw them on Whoorl’s site, then I googled “ponytail holders” and found these instructions. They are too cute!

Frame your sexy paper
As a paper lover, I find it hard to avoid buying gorgeous looking paper that I’d never dare use. What better use for paper in that category but to frame it? Look how lovely the paper looks framed! If you have some beautiful paper, get thee some frames and create some simple pieces of artwork.

Pretty photo albums
Turn a boring looking photo album into something absolutely pretty! You can seek inspriration for how to modify your album from the sorts of the pictures the album will contain.

Sorry to hear you’ve been ill..it is that time of year when kids bring home germs and the change in weather leaves us feeling “blah”. I have been coming to see where you are so I’m glad you’re “back” and look forward to seeing some of your creative art!!!
