Watercolor Crystal Necklace

With a house hold full of women and a young boy (who will one day be courting some lovely lady) it is essential that we have all the accessories we need (lol).  With a few steps, our stunning (soon to retire) *Watercolor Wonder paper, Crystal Effects and a pendant, you can create a necklace to match any outfit (or as a personalized gift).  WOW others with your crafting skills and do so in mere minutes!!
Create this pretty necklace with:
*Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper (#132994)
Crystal Effects (#101055)
Clear block Cleaning Cloth (#121779)
Pendant and Necklace (I ordered these from Ebay and keep them in stock in my craft area for gifts and fast needs)

If you enjoy this necklace and want to have some fun crafting with me, CLICK HERE and RSVP ASAP for my Upcoming Classes!!  Most classes are FREE with a qualified purchase!!

* All items listed with an (*) are on the Last Chance list and when they are gone, they are gone.  Grab YOUR Supplies this week as the Retired List and Stampin' Up! Weekly Deals that are going and going FAST!   * May also mean that it is NOT carrying over into the New Idea Book and Catalog - so grab these items (from the Occasions Mini Catalog) ASAP because they will NOT be available after May!

It is simple, really, to create personalized necklaces for gifts or just to match an outfit.

Pick the item you wish to highlight (stamp an image and color it, or an image on our Designer Series Paper).  Apply a small amount of Crystal Effects liquid lacquer adhesive to the back of the glass (use flattened marbles, if you are in a pinch).

Squish it down, making sure that the Crystal Effects covers the whole surface (no air bubbles). Let it dry for 10-15 minutes.

Cut it out and apply to the base for the pendant.  The Crystal Effects is clear - crystal clear!!  A little goes a long way.  It is a super strong adhesive, too!

The Clear Block Cleaning Cloth is small and easy to keep about!  Here it wipes off any dust, dirt, oily finger prints or smeared Crystal Effects (after I wiped with a napkin there were little bits left on the top of this glass).  I like, too, using this to clean my blocks when I stamp... make sure to keep one (or three) in your crafting area.
My little model think's it is a hoot that her momma can make jewelry.  With five daughters and a son, this makes for great personalized gifts, accessories to match outfits and more!!

If you like to give personalized gifts or wear accessories like my girls and I do, this is a great way to customize a necklace while highlighting your 'mad skills'!!  So stock up on our stunning Designer Series Paper (with so many retiring, these are great to store and use for years to come).  Stamp an image, highlight a style... make a personalized necklace for your own wardrobe or to give away!!  You will surely wow others while taking little time or stress to create amazing items!

When we started to plan the decorations for the Little Nemo party, you wouldn't think of the Hamburger Box Die... but when you make it dark blue, add some waves and a cute punch-art fish... it was the perfect size for the party.  With several options, we considered the Decorative Window Gift Boxes.  I love that we chose the new Hamburger Die!!
This box reminds me of lent and our Friday Fish Filets lol.  Loading this decoration and give away with bubbles, gummy Turtles (from the movie), gummy Red Fish, and Gold Fish crackers.  This cute box is the perfect size for a small gift!
Create a 'Little Nemo' punch art cutie!!  Simply punch the *Small Heart punch and the Small Oval punch in the Pumpkin Pie.  Add a little eye and smile  for a cute little orange fish.

Layer over the Scallops embossed Soft Sky card stock.  This makes for the cutest accent!!

This colorful card is super pretty and easy to do!  Here I started with a Whisper White card stock cut down 1/4" on each side.  Using a sticky note (or scrap piece of paper) and block off the top 1/3 of the paper.

'Load' the Brayer by rolling it in the Old Olive card stock and rolling across the bottom third of the page.  This will create a clean line for a pretty scenic look.

Flip the sticky note/spare paper to cover the Old Olive colored section.  Load the Brayer by rolling it in the Pumkin Pie on one half and the Rich Razzleberry on the other half.  Roll it for a sunset variegated look.

These colors are rich and stunning - the Color Coach helps pair them together.  Did you know... that you can pair the colors from any color family and as long as you balance it, it will look good together??  Yes... when pairing colors, use percentages.  Chose a primary color and reduce any other colors by 50% of the last.  Try not to use more than 3 colors as it can be too busy (not a rule, I have seen many a stunning card full of color but this can go 'bad' quickly).
Using the Jet Black Stazon ink pad, stamp the 'Dare to dream' sentiment from one of my favorite and soon to retire *Loving Thoughts stamp set.  Stamping this along the 'horizon'.

Stamp this pretty flower silhouette from the Serene Silhouette stamp set.   This creates a stunning sunset look that is sure to wow.

Layer over the Rich Razzleberry card stock base for a rich and elegant card.  I love our color coordinated products... sigh.

Send some encouragement, a sunset and some love with this pretty card.  This card is a great graduation, encouragement and just because card.  With a few swipes of your Brayer, deliver a beautiful card with WOW factor.  This card was from our recent Colorful Card class...   Join me in crafting and sending love and encouragement.

Minecraft punch-art hand-stamped card

Minecraft?  Ummm... so my son says he wants a Minecraft hand-stamped card from me (25 minutes before we have to leave).  Sure, I'm super mom.. my life isn't my own (sigh), still, I had to stop, grab my iPhone and look up what a Minecraft was!!

So here is a Punch-Art card of Steve from Minecraft. An odd pixelated picture character that is the star of this game Minecraft (lol).  This makes me feel old... it resembles the games we played on Atari... who knew that with the amazing graphics available to us today, that this would be the 'it' game for kids in my son's age range.

Create this cool punch-art card with:
Crumb Cake card stock (#120953)
Chocolate Chip card stock (#102128)
Whisper White card stock (#100730)
Marina Mist card stock (#119682)
1" square punch (#124094)
Paper Snips (#103579)
Stampin' Sponge (#101610)
SNAIL Simple, Neat, Affordable In-Line adhesive (#104332)

If you enjoy this card and want to have some fun crafting with me, CLICK HERE and RSVP ASAP for my Upcoming Classes!!  Most classes are FREE with a qualified purchase!!
Yupp.. this is Steve and Minecraft.  Laugh with me... I'm not thatttt old, am I??  Truthfully, my kids are on the computer and play only educational games or work on school projects.. so this was new to me (lol).
Create these pixelated eyes, hair and smile using the 1" Square Punch.  Trim in 1/2 with the Paper Snips for smaller lines in the hair and smile.

Layer the Marina Mist 1" square over the Whisper White 1" square for this pixelated eye.
Highlight this nose with the Crumb Cake ink and Stampin' Sponge.  This will help separate the two yet resemble a pixelated nose.

The colors for this card came together with the aide of our Color Coach (#130118).  It's a MUST HAVE tool for pairing up colors and creating a WOW card.
A Creeper is a bad guy/zombie in the game... I couldn't resist a nod to the silliness of it in this picture.  Cat/Kitten pictures are always fun.

Even in a pinch - you can quickly create a custom card that will make you stand out from the crowd.  Here, an answer to my son's last minute request for a Minecraft card for one of his buds.  It's fun to see the kids, as they are turning 10, come into their own and see the world anew.  Your best friend can be your smart phone or computer, simply look up what ever fits the style of the recipient.  WOW when you go above and beyond by personalizing for that someone special (from 10 to 110)!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
