Teacher love

I am an artist at heart.  My ability to draw may not be up to par, one of the reasons I love the medium of stamping and paper crafting.  As the school year wraps up, one of my favorite gifts to give teachers is a fingerprint art.  Here is the tree art we made with the kids in two of my daughter's classes.  I love that the inks and Aqua Painters we have are such top quality that it makes for this not talented painter to create something sweet and memorable.  Join us and create, connect over card making at our fun classes and celebrate those in your life!

I know that our teachers were greatly blessed by this sweet bit of art.  Using the vellum, printing a note about how the teacher helped to give them roots so they could reach the sky on my printer.  This isn't show quality art but it's special for those in our life.  Creating feeds my soul, allowing me to gift something that is safe for my kids to create (a baby wipe was the simple fix to clean up their green finger tips).

A note a day...

This was a fun gift for an amazing teacher.  I know, it's a little late but with the end of school year and I was recovering after then life became my kids home all day - lol.  When our son was blessed with a kind, strong, funny, caring and hard working 5th grade teacher, we were beyond excited!  So as the year wrapped up, I was grateful for the memories and laughter she gave us over the last year of my son's elementary education.
Celebrate the memories given by a great teacher with:

Words leave a legacy of love... so I gathered the kids in my son's class to write notes in honor of their memories for their beloved teacher.  We had three cards with a 'rubber duck' on each.  (Rubber Duck's have a special meaning to our teacher and it's what she collects.)

Using the 12" Whisper White card stock it's easy to create 100 notes in a 3"x3" size.  This amazing teacher can then draw on notes for years to come, if she needs a giggle, a pick me up or a smile.. they are all contained in the words this class has left for her.
I know that the Baby's Firsts Framelits seems like the farthest thing from what you'd use for a teacher with full grown sons.  It's fun that our paper crafting can accommodate anyone's style and needs.  A personalized gift is so easy to do!  Here the die-cut ducks my son die-cut using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform.  Each color represents a different meaning - what a fun way to add interest to our memories.

Ask ME how YOU can get the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine for FREE or 1/2 OFF!!  With a full collection from the one of the best catalogs in ages - you can be the first to enjoy the awesomeness and score the FREE Items when you book a Private Class with me!
I scored when I found this cute jar with a chalkboard apple on the front!  You know that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, laughter is the best medicine.. so we are leaving a wealth of love!

I love the teacher's at our Magnet School!  We have a great staff.  My son made a point to seek out and thank his teachers from Kindergarten to present for the love, care and education that they poured into him.  So join me in creating and leaving a legacy of love.. words are forever and can bless.  Show those in your life LOVE (from teachers to friends and family) when you deliver a thoughtful and priceless gift like this!

Little Chicks thumbprint art teachers gift

The end of the school year is upon us... as a child I remember singing 'No more paper, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks' on the last day of school as we ran out the back grass area and gate... these days I'm feeling more of a mixed bitter sweet.  So as my daughter graduates from Kindergarten and leaves the class of one of my favorite teachers, I sniff and take a few deep breaths... as room mom I collect art work from the kids and compile a book.  This is the book cover I created using the kids thumbprint-art to create chicks as they incubate and hatch live chicks in the class!  What a sweet teacher's end of year gift!!
Create this Teacher Appreciation art work with:
Hardwood background stamp (wood 133032/ clear 133035)
Whisper White card stock (100730)
Cherry Cobbler card stock (119685)
So Saffron ink pad (136957)
Early Espresso ink pad (126974)
Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker (105115)
Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker (100082)
White Stampin' Chalk Marker (132133)
Craft Scissors (108360)

RECEIVE YOUR OWN COPY of the New Idea Book and Catalog when You EMAIL ME your name, number and the best time to call, I will send it with a hand-stamped gift!!
With the cute thumbs of the 21 kids in our Kindergarten class it was fun to create these little chicks.  With the play that the kids did of being on a farm to the incubating and hatching of eggs.. this is the ideal thumb-print art for our beloved teacher!
Stamping the Hardwood background stamp with Early Espresso ink on the Cherry Cobbler card stock for a red barn look.  Using the Craft Scissors with an extra large blade and precision cutting - I cut down half of the background stamp for the roof.
Using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker's fine point end to draw in feet on all of the chicks as well as wings and eyes on the yellow chicks.  Use the White Stampin' Chalk marker on the Early Espresso thumbprints.
Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker creates the cutest beaks!!  What a sweet and easy teacher end-of-year gift.

I love our school, teachers, staff (some days they are the only adult conversations I get).  I will not miss the work, schedule, homework, getting the kids out of the morning to school (barely on time - by the skin of our tires - lol).

No matter how you feel at the end of this school year (happy, bitter sweet or looking forward to margarita momma hour??) you can wrap it up with this cute thumb print art.  Being a room mom was an honor to serve my beloved teacher and the families in our class.  Creating a memorable way to cherish the end of this school year is  a great way to give back to a wonderful teacher.  Happy end-of-school - I hope it was a sweet one!

Teachers Gift reaches for the sky

Grow... our kids are blessed with so many who help them grow into bright, funny, loving people.  This year my daughter, Carina, had two amazing student teachers in her Kinder class.  Creating a sweet gift to mark their time with the kids is easy and fun with our Stampin' Up! Products!
Create this pretty picture with:
Feel Goods stamp set (#131916 w / 129684 c)
Whisper White card stock (#100730)
Wild Wasabi ink (#126959)
Soft Suede ink (#126978)
Tangerine Tango ink (#126946)
Daffodil Delight ink (#126944)
Aqua Painter (#103954)
Stampin' Sponges (#101610)
Vellum Card Stock (#101856)
21 kindergarteners and their cute fingers (lol) and a baby wipe to prevent spread of
Frame to hold the project.

MYSTERY HOSTESS!!  Place an order using THIS Hostess Code (At check-out enter:  FPVUB3DD ) On-Line or Email me directly by March 30th and I will select a Mystery Hostess for FREE HOSTESS DOLLARS on March 30th!!  YES - still earn FREE Sale~A~Bration items for every $50 you enter!
I started the project by stamping this pretty Sunshine sentiment from the Feel Goods stamp set in Tangerine Tango ink on the Whisper White card stock (cut down to fit the 8"x10" frame).

Inking the kids fingers, I started with the thumb in the Wild Wasabi ink.  Then wiped it 'clean' to do the fingers surrounding the thumb.  This will quickly fill a page and resemble the leaves.

After collecting all the finger prints and using a pencil to mark each child's name, I then used my Aqua Painter and the Soft Suede ink to paint these branches and trunk.  I even 'carved' a heart after for an extra touch!  The Aqua Painter makes for beautiful water colored lines and I don't have to stay 'within' the lines or be perfect.
Add some sun to this sentiment with the Daffodil Delight ink and Stampin' Sponge.  Coloring the corner adds a warmth to the card and the colors beautifully coordinate.
Their little fingerprints really warm my heart!

Print the sentiment you desire on the Vellum Card Stock.  Here I adhered it to the sides with Glue Dots.  It floats above the tree while adding a pretty greeting.  Here we discussed their love and support helping them to grow and reach for the skies.   It is so true, the love these teachers pour into my kids are great ways for them to feel supported and cherished.

This project pulls together to signify the Growth our kids have done with the love and support of these amazing teachers.  Teachers are our unsung hero's and I couldn't do what they do (I used to want to teach, sigh... I now do with my kids, lol).  Create a sweet gift to mark the impression the teachers have made on the lives of the kids and our family. This project is sure to warm the hearts of the teachers.

Light Up Our Lives!!

When a Teacher touches the lives and hearts of our kids it's hard not to be blessed by it!  We are blessed to have an amazing Kindergarten teacher who has had 3 of our children in her class.  So when, as room-mom I needed a card for her Christmas gift this Thumb-Print Art came to mind.  Go ahead, hand-stamp a card and let her know that she lights up your life!

To create this card you need:
22 cute little fingers (lol)
Real Red ink pad (#126949)
Old Olive ink pad (#126953)
Old Olive card stock (#100702)
Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (#126902)
Whisper White card stock (#100730)
Dazzling Details (#124117)
Envelope Punch Board (#133774)
Stamping the boys and girls in distinct colors that was inspired by the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper.  Old Olive for our boys and Real Red for the girls.  It's fun to see the squished lines they leave behind.

Add a dash of sparkle and make them feel like they are lit up with our Dazzling Details liquid sparkle.  Circling the finger prints is a quick way to reflect light and highlight each impression.

Layer the stamped 'lights' on the Whisper White with this Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper Real Red sheets.  1/2" Strips adhered give a perfect frame to this cute look.  Layer on an extra large 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Old Olive card stock.  I love how the Old Olive Polka Dot Parade page and our Envelope Punch Board makes a coordinated envelope large enough and matching to fit this extra large card!
Add a simple sentiment like this to show that you and the class care!  Here the Pop-Up envelope makes a statement and with the Real Red Polka Dot Parade paper it makes for a cool and coordinated card!

Leave a little piece of each child in the class with the teacher when you do fun and memorable Finger-Print Art.  Here she holds in her hand a little bit of each of our kiddos.

Our Inks are water based so they are quick drying and wash off pretty easily.  I love, too, how a fun and coordinated project can showcase their little sweet finger prints in a memorable Christmas Card!

You light up my day by coming by!  I try to post daily so come and visit often.  Leave a little bit of YOU with ME when you leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Show those underappreciated Teachers who pour so much into the lives and futures of our children HOW MUCH You Care!!  This sweet Finger-Print Art is a great way to say that you care and just how much!  Find joy and look good when you paper-craft with our award-winning papers, inks and accessories.
Thank You to ALL those amazing teachers who touched my life over the years... and those who have blessed our children!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
