Natural, Stunning, Elegant Card

I love this Friends 24~7 stamp set - this card was inspired by my stamped tiles!!
Natural, Pretty, Clean... wow!
This retired ribbon is felt and stitching... I snipped and threaded one end thru the snip... I then used Vintage Brads to finish off this ribbon... love the look!!

Voila!! Pretty, Clean and Fun... who wouldn't love receiving this card??

This card was inspired by the natural texture and look of my stamped tiles! Using Confetti White Paper, Chocolate Chip Paper, Ribbon and Ink.. this quick card is so stunning!! (Even my hubby LOVED it!!) I flicked the torn edge in Chocolate Chip ink and layered behind it the Chocolate Chip Paper... the Natural look and feel of the Confetti White paper makes for a card that is so pretty, easy and fun to make!

Travertine Tile Coasters

Natural and so pretty - everyone will want a set!!
Almost too pretty to put a glass on.... but it's not going to bleed or fade... cool!!
Using ONE stamp set for the set makes for a cohesive looking gift... so pretty!
Lovely as a Tree is lovely to me...
With Shimmer Paint... so pretty!!
Stampin with Stazon Ink our Lovely as a Tree set... I added a lil Shimmer Paint in Champagne.. WOW!!
Friends 24-7 stamp set is perfect for this project!! A lil Shimmer paint and it's stunning!

I did this craft for our MOPS group and used this Gold paint for the edges for that craft... it's darker than the shimmer on the Right... but both are pretty!

Medallion a~naturale... it's so pretty just stamped as it is...
More Medallion stampin - up close... a perfect gift for anyone on your list!!

I snagged these 4x4 Traverntine tiles from Home Depot and my retired brown StazOn ink... and went to work on this week's craft for our MOPS group. WOW - the results were great and ANYONE could do it!! These were a HIT with everyone at MOPS - even the 'non' crafty types!

I was torn between those w/ the Shimmer paint and the natural stone with just ink.. the hubby voted for the natural. I hope YOU like it and are inspired to bless those you love with something pretty this holiday season, house warming, wedding gifts and more... Too - I did 4 in way less than 10 minutes!! Covered the bottom w/ felt and it's stunning!

A FUN an Quick lil gift... a Bag of Tags!! This stamp set (Christmas Punch) makes for EASY, Quick and Fun gifts for those you love... I hope you are inspired to do something for those you love... I am!! (Thanks Christel for the inspiration!!)

Mojo Challenge 111 and LNStampers' Masculine Card..

I started out on this Grey on Grey action!! Little embellishments.. hummmm...
I took the sketch and realized it had three 'brads' but I didn't want to punch thru the card... so I snagged our Tombo liquid glue and made my own 'brads' with Silver Micro Beads!! A lil metal, bling but not too shiny or fancy, kind of like bee bee gun pellets??

The hubby questioned the whole Grey card - not masculine enough so I popped out this card and LOVE it!! Again w/ the Tombo Liquid Glue and this time Gold Fine Glitter... sparkles on a 'rough' card... but I love the end result!!
This week I've 'cleaned up' my stampin area and hit the challenges!! Here is a COMBO of the Mojo Monday and the LNStampers challenge.. see the pic for the Mojo challenge 111 and then I turned it into a Masculine Card... What do YOU think??

I did two... which is YOUR favorite??

On the Grey Bday Card... I took our new Bridal/White Designer Series Paper and w/ my brayer I inked it in Grey. I then cleaned off the shiny stripes so that the White POPPED thru!! I adhered it to Textured Grey Paper Paper (like the stripes of each going in the same direction - all about texture this card...). I then grabbed our lil 'paper clips' and tied a lil double knot in our shiny White Organza Ribbon. I clipped it to the Grey Textured paper that I heat embossed White onto w/ this cute lil birthday sentiment from Everything Nice set. Knowing it 'needed' something to break up the grey on grey.. I grabbed my Glossy White paper (tying it to the shiny stripes in the paper) and punched it w/ my Big Shot and the Lattice die. Bam... cute, classy and masculine.. or so I thought...

Then I consulted my hubby... he wasn't so keen - said it wasn't manly enough so I thought... hummmm....

I snagged our Chocolate Chip paper, Very Vanilla and our Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper (from our Holiday Mini) and went to work. I did the same layout but with our Mini Library Clips I tied the twine to it and knotted it 5 or 6 times - then frayed the ends. I love this Tree from our Lovely as a Tree set and the simple sentiment from A Little Birthday Cheer. I loved the DSP and it's rough qualities so I flicked the edges of the stamped tree on Very Vanilla in Chocolate Chip. I added some Really Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive and Summer Sun for the leaves (staying in the same color family is usually safe...) and Close to Cocoa for the trunk with our Markers.

John's Opinion?? He digs this Manly card... simple, rough, but clean... any guy would be lucky to recv this (in my opinion - either card would be a blessing).

Ta Taaaa - Let me know YOUR favorite... and Stamp YOURSELF a manly card or two or three.

Candy Challenge ~ Sweetens my day in 10 lil minutes!!

Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun...

Does this add up to a Reeses??
Silver embossing on Silver paper... so stunning...
This looks more like the York that I love... but the other is more elegant... hummm

Stamping Brilliant Blue on Ribbon or Embossing White on Brilliant Blue... both look tasty!!
So - a sweet challenge to start my week. Finding my embossing gun was impossible (where oh where did I place that thing??). I called a friend and snagged her gun to whip out these cards - the last day of the challenge (ever the procrastinator... lol). I'm not a big Chocolate fan - if I do have some it's usually covering something of strength (Like York's Pep Patties or Reeses's Peanut Butter cups).
I thought... humm - I've missed my updating to the blog I'll do double duty and make these 10 minute cards!! So they ALL are!! Starting with my Silver duo - it's such a quick and easy card!! Stamping w/ Versa Mark the trees across the bottom of a Silver card stock. The card is longer than the stamp so I just kept the image going and re stamped the image towards the end... I embossed w/ Silver powder (don't you just love this look?).
Torn - I snagged some Brilliant Blue paper and embossed the sentiment with White. I then made the 'flagged' ends w/ my snips and then with the SNAIL adhesive I made it look like it was blowing in the wind.
I then snagged our white Organza ribbon and tied it on with a lil swish of a double knot. I then Stamped the sentiment with Brilliant Blue on the ribbon. I like the elegance of this look... but as my hubby pointed out - the blue with white embossed looks more like the York.
NOW... knowing I love Reeses, too... I snagged my Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun papers. I cut the Chocolate Chip and punched the edge. I than ran thru the crimper. (I think it looks like the wrapper the cup is in - don't you??) I then adhered it to the Pumpkin Pie paper (John said the Only Orange would have been better - but I didn't mind... it was more my desired paper look.)
I then stamped the Tree on the Summer Sun paper in Chocolate Chip. Using the Pumpkin Pie I stamped the leaves to look like that of fall leaves. I flicked the edges in Chocolate Chip ink to look like the writing 'Reeses' on the wrapper. I stamped 'Give Thanks' on top - and finished it off by adhering the tree w/ Stampin Dimensionals.
Simple, Easy, Elegant cards - 10 minutes or less each!! I hope you are inspired - now whip out your favorite candies and make a card to two... or three... Have a SWEET day!! ~ J
(My BFF answered when asked which she liked best... 'You know I'm not one for Mint... I like the one that represented the Reeses...' she was the First to reply the Taste Point of View..)

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
