Creating fashion inspiration can be as easy as mimicking a design, cut outs or being asymmetrical.
With a sweet little fun-fold, this card drapes much like a dress would.
Instructions:
~  Score on the 11" side of a Thick Basic White card stock at 2-3/4" and 8". This will allow for an overlap of the two flaps in an asymmetrical manner.
~  Cut on the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4".
~  Cut Basic Black to 4"x 2-3/4" and 4"x3"
~  Trim the black with the Elegant Borders die before the white (see the video on how I lay this and die-cut for a matching diagonal cut).
~  Using the Take Your Pick Tool brush to clear the hanging chads in an old Paper Pumpkin box (contain that mess!).
~  Adhere the black to the white with Stampin' Seal +.
~  Extra impression with the Bone Folder.
~  Stamp the greetings with the Jet Black Stazon ink pad.
~  Adhere the Matte Black Dots with your Take Your Pick tool.
The peek a boo greeting at the bottom that coordinates with the Happy Birthday in the center.
I love the matte black dots with these lacy bottom accents - don't you?

Creating modern, cool and edgy Conversation Hearts in this hand crafted card is so easy!!
Create this by:
~  Punching the Heart Builder Punch heart in the Like an Animal Designer Series Paper and the Melon Mambo card stock.
~  Using the Brights Stampin' Write Markers in Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo to color in and modify this paper.
TOOL TIP:  Do it on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet - this protects your surface from color while holding it secure while you are coloring it in.
~  Using the NEW Embossing Basics Embossing Folders** in our Cut & Emboss Machine on the Black card stock (4x-5-1/4") to create a mimicking texture to the Specialty Metallic Like an Animal Designer Series Paper.
~  Using the Black Stampin' Write Marker to color in and split the greetings of the Love for You bundle.  The greeting being too long prevents stamping it on the punched Melon Mambo heart.  See the video on how to create your own custom greeting this way!
~  Assemble with Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive and Stampin' Seal + (keep in mind - less pressure is better!) over the Embossed Black card stock (where I punched out the scalloped heart from the center - see the video on my tips to doing so).
~ Scoring the Granny Apple Green at 4-1/4", cutting at 5-1/2" - Black card stock at 4"x5-1/4" and Melon Mambo in 3-3/4"x5"
***
INSIDE we added Melon Mambo 5-1/4x4" and Basic White card stock 3-3/4"x5"
~  Stamping the greeting in the Granny Apple Green ink but using the Simply Shammy to remove the color of the 'O'.
~  Stamping the heart in the Melon Mambo to use as the o's in these words.
~  Add levels of fun INSIDE with the

I love continuing the colors and look INSIDE of this hand crafted card.
Laying out the designed hearts first then build the greeting stamped hearts.  I used one more heart cut in half to do this falling on and off heart.

My hand crafted card leans more warm but I love how EASY and Dynamic this handmade card came out.

Creating an Ombre look is easier than you'd think!

Doing so though can take a few tricks - especially on a non-porous surface like our new Fine Shimmer Specialty Paper!
~  Start with the Lightest Color - here that is the Blushing Bride ink.
~  Daub the Blending Brush into the corner of the ink pad and, with a base behind the project - here I used extra chipboard - and blend  in for a smoother transition than starting directly on the Fine Shimmer in Gold (3-3/4"x5").
~  HOW TO SET This Color... so the Shimmer is a non-porous surface and the color can easily transfer off.  Soooo.. SET THE COLOR!  Using our Heat Tool to dry the surface once you are finished applying all three colors.  Careful not to scorch the paper but it should bow slightly during setting (this is the glue curing).
~  Frame out this with Blackberry Bliss 4"x5-1/4" and the Blushing Bride card (score at 5-1/2", cutting at 4-1/4", using the Bone Folder to make a firm impression).
~  Stamping a 1" strip with Stazon Jet Black Ink (a solvent ink that will stand on the surface of the Gold Fine Shimmer) with the Something Fancy stamp set (I really adore the Everyday Magic greeting for this hand stamped card.
~  Stampin' Dimensionals in between each layer.
~  Accent with the Elegant Faceted Gems (the surface can be challenging to the embellishments with it's texture so I added a small dot of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to aide in this) with my Take Your Pick Tool.
I am so grateful for the everyday magic of you!
I do hope you enjoyed this fun Fashion Friday inspired card making tutorial.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
