I started out on this Grey on Grey action!! Little embellishments.. hummmm...
I took the sketch and realized it had three 'brads' but I didn't want to punch thru the card... so I snagged our Tombo liquid glue and made my own 'brads' with Silver Micro Beads!! A lil metal, bling but not too shiny or fancy, kind of like bee bee gun pellets??
The hubby questioned the whole Grey card - not masculine enough so I popped out this card and LOVE it!! Again w/ the Tombo Liquid Glue and this time Gold Fine Glitter... sparkles on a 'rough' card... but I love the end result!!

This week I've 'cleaned up' my stampin area and hit the challenges!! Here is a COMBO of the Mojo Monday and the LNStampers challenge.. see the pic for the Mojo challenge 111 and then I turned it into a Masculine Card... What do YOU think??
On the Grey Bday Card... I took our new Bridal/White Designer Series Paper and w/ my brayer I inked it in Grey. I then cleaned off the shiny stripes so that the White POPPED thru!! I adhered it to Textured Grey Paper Paper (like the stripes of each going in the same direction - all about texture this card...). I then grabbed our lil 'paper clips' and tied a lil double knot in our shiny White Organza Ribbon. I clipped it to the Grey Textured paper that I heat embossed White onto w/ this cute lil birthday sentiment from Everything Nice set. Knowing it 'needed' something to break up the grey on grey.. I grabbed my Glossy White paper (tying it to the shiny stripes in the paper) and punched it w/ my Big Shot and the Lattice die. Bam... cute, classy and masculine.. or so I thought...
Then I consulted my hubby... he wasn't so keen - said it wasn't manly enough so I thought... hummmm....
I snagged our Chocolate Chip paper, Very Vanilla and our Autumn Meadows Designer Series Paper (from our Holiday Mini) and went to work. I did the same layout but with our Mini Library Clips I tied the twine to it and knotted it 5 or 6 times - then frayed the ends. I love this Tree from our Lovely as a Tree set and the simple sentiment from A Little Birthday Cheer. I loved the DSP and it's rough qualities so I flicked the edges of the stamped tree on Very Vanilla in Chocolate Chip. I added some Really Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive and Summer Sun for the leaves (staying in the same color family is usually safe...) and Close to Cocoa for the trunk with our Markers.
John's Opinion?? He digs this Manly card... simple, rough, but clean... any guy would be lucky to recv this (in my opinion - either card would be a blessing).
Ta Taaaa - Let me know YOUR favorite... and Stamp YOURSELF a manly card or two or three.
I did two... which is YOUR favorite??
