Adventure is calling handmade card

It's Summer and with my kids home, even though I homeschool and they are home with me the majority of the time, I am trying to plan some fun adventures for our family.  We live in one of the coolest places in California, with waterfalls to the ocean, areas major shows were filmed (MASH to Gun Smoke and more!), museums and Native American original sites - there are so many fun things to explore!  Celebrate the adventurous spirit of kids and summer with this beautiful handmade card.   Last night's Facebook.com/GettingCrafty.net LIVES were such fun!

Created on the fly.  I had three or four cards in my head but with a weird weather day, many errands and work to be had, by the time I sat to create them they didn't come out to my liking.  Sooo.. we created this on the fly and LIVE!
With the Share What You Love Suite (these bundles and FREE bees end in May!) you can create a broad variety of styles and looks with coordinating products, all new, from the upcoming Stampin' Up! 3oth Anniversary catalog.
~  Create this funky cool background with our Sponge Daubers and the new In-Color (2 year limited edition color collections) Grapefruit Grove ink on the Whisper White card stock (3-3/4" x 5").  
~  Using the Pearlized Doilies in the Share What You Love, Gotta Have It All bundle, turn it to the blank, non-pearlized side and rub the surface with the new ink pad and Sponge Dauber.
~  Over Lap, cross over, lay and create layers and layers as you move it around the card stock.
~  Stamp the greeting from the Love What You Do stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
~  Tie on the colored doily with the white thread (the embellishment kit) and add this silver rose for a wow finish to the center (it fits perfectly!).
~  Add Clear Wink of Stella for a fun addition of subtle glitter.

~  Emboss with the Lovely Floral deep impressions embossing folder (New and in the Gotta Have It All Suite) on Silver Foil Sheets.
~  Rub the surface with a Stampin' Sponge and either the Black Archival ink pad (Retiring) or a Stazon ink pad (coming back!).
~  Stamp the greeting from the Love What You Do stamp set.
~  Add these beautiful and coordinating Mint Macaron adhesive backed pearls to the front of the flower from the Artisan Pearls (in this suite!).
~ Layer over Basic Black card stock and then a Mint Macaron card stock base with Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive.

What inspires you?  I had two Father's Day cards in mind but with having no dad to give them to, my heart rebelled against creating them.  Going to this vintage look was in honor of what spoke to my heart in two fun ways.  Create from the heart, it's sure to be beautifully received.  See this and other Facebook Lives Video Tutorials when you click here!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now.
