Happy Halloween! What a SWEET day!

My kids are bubbling with energy (if only I could tap that energy!) as we have a day filled with parties and harvest festivals!

With three of our kids at two schools I had to create a fun selection of fun treats for their friends and the staff at the schools!

Grabbing my Googly Ghouls and the Got Treats stamp sets. My Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set for the cute Happy Halloween sentiment.

The Decorative Label punch is essential for most people's collection! This Polka Dot DSP is soo cute, I layered 3/4" strips on a white 2" strip of paper and then punched out these cute lil Candy Corns!! Awww!

Ok the perfect accent is the cute Googlies google eyes make the cute stamped image cuter!!

I hope YOUR Halloween is sweet! Remember!! Variety is the spice of life!!

Full Of Blessings

This Holiday Season is one to pause and count my blessings. I do what I love and am rewarded for it. I have wonderful children, a supportive hubby. We live in a great community, have wonderful schools and activities...

Here is my heart's dance of joy as I prepare for Thanksgiving! With Soft Suede cardstock as the base to this card. With the Holiday Mini Core'dinations cardstock in Early Espresso run through the Woodgrain embossing folder and my Big Shot. Sanding the top of this embossed cardstock, the lighter color pops thru!

Stamping this pumpkin scene from the Full of Blessings stamp set from the Holiday mini on Very Vanilla with Early Espresso ink.

With my Watercolor pen I water colored in the scene with Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie inks.

NOW... I did the pumpkins TWO way!! The darker and more glittery pumpkins is using our Dazzling Details glittery glue and one drop of the Pumpkin Pue re-inkers. I then painted in the pumpkins for the darker, glittery pumpkins. I really LOVE this contrast to the neutrals to this glittery look.

With our Big Shot and the Apothecary Accents Framelits I punched out this retro accent. It frames the scene sooo well! The Antique Brads tie it all up!! I did the glittery one w/the edges daubed with a Dauber and Soft Suede ink!

This scene screams Harvest, Fall and Thanksgiving. The LNS challenge of Thanksgiving cards is given a nod with this card!!

I hope you enjoy this Fall card and take a moment to count YOUR blessings!!

Sweet treat!

My dear friend Carol created this cute card for me! Awwww! I just love how sweet it is!

With our pennant punch she punched out this Pumpkin Pie pennant then did the tip in Very Vanilla and the bottom in So Saffron. I love the sweet look of this yummy card!

She purchased my retired Halloween stamp and added that to the interior of the card. I'm blessed by the people in my life, they make it so sweet!

Pirate Thank You!

Our Kids had the BEST Weekend!  We attend a great school w/ a PTA that creates some of the coolest activities!  This year instead of a Harvest festivle we hand an Aaaarrrrvest festivle (say it like a Pirate, lol).  Needless to say, my two classes had the 99 Bottles of Milk on the Wall and Cannon Ball Bowling - ha, ha, ha...

I wanted to send all the Amazing family w/ a hand stamped Thank You card... sadly that's 45 families and then there are the other PTA Members and Room Parents... soooo I snagged my My Digital Studio and created this fun and Pirate feeling Thank YOU!  It's fun, easy and stylish... creating a great JPEG that I emailed to over 100 people in a matter of moments!!

This utilizes our Nautical Expedition DSP and The Open Sea stamp set!  I LOVE this elegant stamp set and how well this all comes together!  The Coloring tool helped in creating a fun element to the Thank YOU from the Bottom of My Heart sentiment from the From My Heart Stamp set!

I know that Stampin' is a real part of my heart!  I love that Digital Crafting like this is sooo quick, creating this card in a matter of minutes w/ techniques, papers and stamps... and then emailing them out... or if I'd wanted I could order them through Stampin' Up! for the printing or Costco or CVS... So, what do you think of this Fun card??  Comments are sooo appreciated and Thank YOU for Looking!!

Toilet Paper Treats for Boooo

Ok so I have sports, Girl Scouts and three classrooms of kids to make treats for this year, over 100 lil treats to create! (Kind of scary!)

Keeping costs low is ideal when it comes to this time of year. Ok so I nabbed a large bag of tootsie roll miniature pops, a roll of Charmin toilet paper, Googlies (Adhesive backed Googlies eyes from the Holiday Mini), a sharpie in black, adhesive backed Rhinestones and white ribbon.

Two squares of TP cover the pop and hide the color (you get what you get and you don't throw a fit, a moms mantra!) tie the ribbon around the stick of the pop. Apply the Googlies, and color the crystal rhinestone with the sharpie (creates an onyx look). Bam! Easy, low cost, cute and FUN!

I added a 3x3" tag of Whisper White that I wrote a lil tag for my son's football team. The Spider Web folder and Big Shot create a great texture and look! With the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive I applied the black and silver embossed Kiddodles spider that i punched w/the scallop punch and it is done! Easy peasy, lemon squeezey. It's sooo scary how cute it is! Lol.

Wishing you JOY!

When you create such a lovely card like our card kit English Ivy Simple Sentiments its challenging to decorate it and not take away from its loveliness. The stunning lightweight sheets in Very Vanilla with this stunning Crumb Cake Lacy detail on the bottom and envelope, I couldn't resist taking it on as a challenge.

Nabbing an oldie but goodie stamp set, Perfect Punches, the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch, Red Riding hood ink, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, and Crumb Cake (that's such a yummy sounding mix, lol) and the new Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L die with my Big Shot.

Running the doilies thru both Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip papers and then laying them out to alternate colors and create contrast and definition. Layering them and adhering with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive. The lace on the card peaks through and looks soooo lovely!

Center the Red Riding Hood stamped Joy at Christmas sentiment that you punched out. I love that it centers perfectly over the larger of the three doilies.

This is really a four step, easy card that packs a lacy and lovely JOY!

Christmas is 9 weeks away, I'm getting ready and this sweet card will be in my repertoire! Wishing you JOY today!

Miss Muffet Sat on a Tuffet...

I actually really like spiders! I had a tarantula as a pet for a while when I was young. My mom HATES spiders.. It made for an interesting home lol.

This lovely and FUN card reminds me of this poem. Using the Kidoodles stamp set, Basic Grey cardstock for the base, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP from the holiday mini, Spider Web folder and Big Shot, Heat Gun and Silver embossing powder... Don't forget the Googlies Googly eyes from our Holiday Mini!!

I love that our DSP is double sided and coordinates with all the colors from the packet. So the Black looks smashing with the grey side of the DSP. I like, too, that this looks a lil mosaic and is a nod to the LNS challenge this week.

Embossing this lil spider (who sat down beside her) with two looks, on the Grey makes the paper look more like silver. Silver on grey is a great lil elegance for such a fun card. The silver on black is more daring and adds a dimension to the grey and black card.

Our Illuminate Glimmer Watermark shimmery Stampin' pad from the Holiday mini is glazed over the raised web. This adds a slight shimmer and elegance to this whimsical addition.

The 1-3/4" scallop circle punch is a tight fit but fits and looks so ideal! I adore the whimsey of the Googlies and how it really makes for a FUN card!

Happy Halloween! Thanks for looking!! Comments are soooo appreciated!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
