Some days it seems like the day will not end. Today I started off early, getting kids ready, out of the house by 7:40 a.m... then my Father-In-Law was in the hospital where my hubby and I drove over an hour to visit and find out some good-to-know but scary news, I had to rush back and grab my kids from school, run off to Camarillo for a card making class, shop with said kids in tow to purchase our Thanksgiving bird, fighting said kids I grabbed fast food and am NOW, just getting to sit down and blog. Whew!!
Today was rough... but a highlight was opening my mail to a pretty card! My friend Brynn sent me this pretty hand-crafted card and it was just the highlight of my day/week!
Some retired stamps and papers but it is so pretty that it took my breath away! So this, this is why we do what we do. We send little bits of art into the world that deliver smiles, love, beauty, hope and encouragement. This warmed my heart like nothing much else could. Her kind note, her hand-crafted art of a beautiful Thanksgiving card, the pretty feathers and glimmer... I feel so very blessed and cherished!!
She blessed me with some candy... well, candy dots to decorate my hand-stamped cards. What a sweet, unexpected and wonderful blessing in my chaotic life. So if you, or I, forget or wonder what we do and why... this is what we do and why. We bless others, we deliver smiles, hugs and love wrapped in the art of a hand-crafted card.
I am so very blessed to have a sweet friend, to do what I love and love what I do as I help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments... in this I (and Brynn) am making a difference (this is the Stampin' Up! moto by the way). So Join Us at a fun card making class or Join the Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Team and you, too, can do what you love and love what you do. Go ahead, you too, can send some blessings to others wrapped up in a pretty card.. pretty mail is perfect for the rough day/week/month I've had.
