Planner Love

I plan my life out.  I have to.  I'm a mom of 6, a wife, a business owner, a daughter and sister... so I have to plan it out.  I am trying to be proactive versus reactive.  So on our recent vacation up to Big Bear Lake (sigh) I did bring my planner.  I used to to plan our Summer dates, to book an upcoming Crafting Retreat (shhh - news will come out soon enough!!).  I couldn't pass up these views either!!  This is the view from my deck and it just makes everything better. 

I've loved my business oriented weekly and monthly planner by The Printed Planner.  She creates planners for direct sales businesses and general businesses.  The downfall was that it was spiral bound with plastic and not structured enough for me.  I also needed a place for notes.

I love using our Project Life cards and coordinating washi tapes to add pop out notes for journal-ling.  This weekend we had two of our daughters with birthdays (we have 13 bdays from April-May in our family!).  I popped notes out on what fun we had so we can add them to our Memory Documenting books.  (These current collections ROCK and are Retiring!!  Score YOURS Now and Save when you Click here.)

My Color Crush planner is super cute and it slips my The Printed Planner into one side.  This snaps shut, is super cute and helps to hold my life and memories together! 

I love this striped baby!  With fun charms from our Stampin' Up! leadership 25th Anniversary Special - and they both coordinated - I'm wearing accessories on my planner!

Perfect Fit!  Shut the front door!  I love that they fit in together.  I now can store notes in the cute pages from Webster's Color Crush, hold my pretty sparkling pen and my pencil all with cute paper clips and more.

A travelers notebook or fauxdori is a bound collection of books held together with bands.  Here Brooke is so talented with her leather work, hand-dying and stamping her leather books.  This is my 'lender' little birdie book in this stunning blue as my tri-fold bordeaux version is being created!

Inside are these notebooks!  I have 6 in mine, to start (lol).  A recipe one and ones for our youngest four kids so that I can jot down their words, sayings, life moments to add to their Memory Documenting Books later.  They come plain so that with our awesome rubber stamps, pretty papers, washi tapes and more we can personalize them.  These are blank slates to create on.. I love that my passion for card making and memory documenting is only as limited as my imagination.

This was a fun Private Class cross-over!  With Brooke and Three Little Birds we had fun gathering with some super fun ladies.  These fauxdori's/travelers notebooks are great planners - just insert the calendar book to fit your style.  We even share our ideas on Facebook with this Plan It! Two classes in one day - it's a fun crafting escape!!

Amy came with Paola and even Amy's daughter!  They are excited to plan and create together, passing notes and letters to one another, life, etc.  These are the yummy books they scored from Three Little Birds.

Here Paola used our stamp sets (listed above) to create great looks for each book.  One is her new Travel book - she's planning to plan out and track her vacations and memories (how fun is that?!?!).

We were all having fun with my wall of stamps, papers and washi.. it was so much fun!  Many are blank, grid patterened and lined inside so we can continue the crafting inside as we live life.

Pretty Planner

I am a mom of 5 girls, one son and now one son-in-law.  We have a busy life.  I work from home and try to be a super mom and wife (falling short ~ often).  I have 'used' planners through the years but not well.  I didn't update things, keep lists of to-do's (so I'd miss items), and eventually get "too busy" to use them (letting more slip through the cracks of our life).

FIRST - I adore our stunning Designer Series Paper.  I am a girl who loves paper and always has!  The fact that it is DOUBLE SIDED has me gah gah!  You get so much more for your dollar this way.  

Second - I searched and loved so many covers for my planner.  I use The Printed Planner for my carrying around planner (I have a family one and a desk one, too).  Like an Erin Condren Planner, it has a spiral bind. 

Third - Why order a cover when I have a full collection of the PRETTIEST Designer Series Papers ever?!?!

Fourth - Inspiration is LOADED in my Project Life Cards and the coordinating Accessories!  This pretty collection has this gold foiled saying that I hope will help me to find joy and stay grounded.

So I had fun Gettin' Crafty and made up these cool Planner Covers!

I'm a less is more kind of girl.  Focal Points for me.  I love adding accents like this pretty Winter Wonderland Designer Washi Tape with it's pretty gold flecked, easy to use and looks smashing on my calendar.  It's RETIRING in just a couple of days.. grab your gold accented Washi Tape NOW before it's gone!

Cover LOVE.... I love the ease of making these Planner Covers.  Cutting my pretty Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper down to a 1/2" bigger than my planner.  I took it to my office supply store.  They laminated it (a 7 grade laminated page for the 'weight' of the lamination).  They punched the wholes in the side for a spiral thread.  I cut it down, using our awesome Paper Snips.  Snipped the holes so I could add it to my planner (and change it out as I feel).

The Planners NEED A Cover - well, OK maybe not.  It comes with a small cover but it is soft.  I wanted more support.  This will be fun to change out as the seasons or mood change (like I change out my clothes/shoes/purses lol).

I added this pretty Project Life card from the Moments Like These Project Life card collection.  I adore using them for my Memory Documenting and now my planners!!  This says it all, doesn't it - "Sparkle"!

Staying organized is a challenge.
