Planning Success.. How to use your planner!

Planning my life is KEY to surviving it!

I'm a wife, mom, homeschooling mom, work at home mom (the top 1% of my industry - number 225 out of 60,000 demonstrators world wide!), Challenge Director (I teach 10th graders) and a Goat Farmer! 

Let me share with you - how I use my planner.

Planning a New Year

I am a Planner Girl.. owning my own business, a mom of 6 (4 of which I home-school as of this year), a farm life, a wife, and more.. My church has a family pot-luck through out the year.  Today we started the year off right by sharing a meal, worshiping, serving and hearing some great words of advice on setting our goals for this year.  I've been swamped this year.  Tired.  This is amazing advice from our pastor, I made this pretty meme to help me remember it.  What are YOUR goals this year?  Scheduling fun, life, work, family and friends into your life will help create a full life.

Making my planner pretty... I love that I am planning out my New Year.  Here with the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape (in Copper Foil!!) I mark the side of the page so it's easier to find. 

Our Bow Paper Clips are great!  They are super cute, remind me of Kate Spade as a bow is classically pretty.  

It's so great knowing what is coming my way.  Planning for upcoming Card Making Classes, BOGO Sales, New Catalogs and more. I tuck my planner into the back of an A5 Color Crush Planner and I'm ready to track and stay on-top of our lives. 

When you start planning your life it's more than just a monthly planner.  For me, I live a busy life.  I forget the most common activities and often end up double or triple booked.  Writing it down, adding pretty stamps, stickers, washi tape and more makes it fun.  Week by week is my second break down.

I use our Project Life collections, like this Hello Lovely collection (it's my favorite and perfect for card making, gift tags and more!).  Here I make a flap out section and use it for my classes and activities.  I can track the event and what we do or who attends on the other side.  This is so helpful in my busy life. (I've been behind in doing my planner and such, so it's made me feel out of control - ugh!)

I can write what occurs on the inside of this pretty card.  Tucking it in helps me to keep track, not have lose papers and more while being clean and neat.  It is so pretty, too!

A week at a glance.  I go to TOPS, conference calls, meetings, homeschooling, activities, classes and more each week.  I can see, too, if and where I am wasting my time.. schedule in some fun and more.

I actually ordered this cute Barnyard Babies before we went down the path of adopting our girls.  I've used it to create thank-you cards for our goat-farm friends and now to track our girl's cycles (lol).  

I was one of those girls who collected stickers and stamps from a young age (Did you trade stickers on the play ground like I did?).  Here with the Carpe Diem Reset Girl's sticker collection, our stamp sets, our Project Life collections, stamp sets from my favorite Etsy creators and more - it's so easy to be creative inside of my planner.

Here are our girls.   We now are a small farm life family.  The girls are Nigerian Dwarf Goats and they are so much fun!  Our dog is a love, bigger than the girls and she even herds them (they even have similar coloring to our dog)!

My planner week..

My planner.. I love her.  I take her with me even on vacations.  This week is lining up to be pretty busy.  With a big conference for the second half of the week, a LIVE Card Class on Thursday evening (I am moving it to next week - eek), Planner Meet Up on Saturday.. I'm lining up all of my to-do's.  

Making it pretty.  I am a little tired this weekend and I needed a little sparkle.  Adding in a star punched red glimmer paper to each page is sure to brighten my week.  I love highlighting the 4th of July with our Labeler Alphabet.  Today is the day our nation declared their independence.

Planner Love

I plan my life out.  I have to.  I'm a mom of 6, a wife, a business owner, a daughter and sister... so I have to plan it out.  I am trying to be proactive versus reactive.  So on our recent vacation up to Big Bear Lake (sigh) I did bring my planner.  I used to to plan our Summer dates, to book an upcoming Crafting Retreat (shhh - news will come out soon enough!!).  I couldn't pass up these views either!!  This is the view from my deck and it just makes everything better. 

I've loved my business oriented weekly and monthly planner by The Printed Planner.  She creates planners for direct sales businesses and general businesses.  The downfall was that it was spiral bound with plastic and not structured enough for me.  I also needed a place for notes.

I love using our Project Life cards and coordinating washi tapes to add pop out notes for journal-ling.  This weekend we had two of our daughters with birthdays (we have 13 bdays from April-May in our family!).  I popped notes out on what fun we had so we can add them to our Memory Documenting books.  (These current collections ROCK and are Retiring!!  Score YOURS Now and Save when you Click here.)

My Color Crush planner is super cute and it slips my The Printed Planner into one side.  This snaps shut, is super cute and helps to hold my life and memories together! 

I love this striped baby!  With fun charms from our Stampin' Up! leadership 25th Anniversary Special - and they both coordinated - I'm wearing accessories on my planner!

Perfect Fit!  Shut the front door!  I love that they fit in together.  I now can store notes in the cute pages from Webster's Color Crush, hold my pretty sparkling pen and my pencil all with cute paper clips and more.  

What a VIEW!  I love planning.  Like my card making classes, planning gives me some amazing connections with awesome ladies.  Join Us for TWO Planner Events in ONE Weekend!  We have a FUN Planner Stamp Night - for free, on May 13th.  I'll be pulling out my planner themed stamp sets and rotary stamp so we can have a blast creating and decorating!
