See what this Envelope Punch Board (#133774) can do for you!
Folded for a cool envelope that, yes, is able to be mailed.  (To do so, you create and adhere the envelope closed, then place the address information on a white label so it can be clearly read.)

I planned to GIVE this envelope... so using the Very Vintage Designer Buttons (#129327) for a feminine, vintage accent.  Adhered with Glue Dots (#103683) and accented with the adhesive backed Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577) for an elegant accent.  Adhere ONLY the bottom half and now the envelope flap can tuck under the embellishment.
This Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper (#130814) is oh so pretty!!  I LOVE it... a great mix of old and new, cool and classic... it is DOUBLE SIDED so it now has a color and pattern coordinated inside!  Here Jenna helped create this envelope at a recent class and with no prior experience had a blast!
Coordinated to the card it is sure to WOW... and this Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper has great map patterned pages... perfect for this globe card.
Any page that fits your style can create a stunning and personalized envelope, card and more!!
Again, it's limitless!!  Everyone has scraps of paper they've hoarded (or is that just me, lol??) or not used.. give them a new life as a bonus gift in a beautiful envelope!!  It's so easy to do and less expensive than purchasing envelopes for unique sized cards!!

Happy Bird-Day!

Feminine? Vintage?? Natural??? (Check!) I love combining elements for a great, combined look!  This elegant card is sure to warm someone's day!  Happy B-Day (here 'B' stands for Bird - lol).

What do you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know!  Share this, Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ and Follow Me on those avenues, YouTube, Instagram, The Vine, too!
Inspired by one of my favorite papers, Soho Subway (#130140) and this new, cute Hostess Exclusive Perfect You stamp set (#131877).

With Crisp Cantaloupe card stock (#131298) as the base, this warm card takes on a vintage vibe.
This stunning paper is oh so elegant and patterned to look vintage and feminine.  Our Bird Builder punch (#117191) allows this punched image to alternate the sides for contrast.  Mixed patterns are all the rage and these are designed to be coordinated - making me look cool - oh so easily!
This Hostess Exclusive Perfectly You stamp set (#131877) is pretty awesome, coordinates with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits Dies (#130159), the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439), Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658).

Here stamped with Early Espresso ink (#126974) on Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) for a sharp looking image that coordinates with this paper.  The vintage looking stamp lays over this Taffeta Ribbon so it reminds me of a hanging sign.
Here the branches come off the side, the birds are created with cool patterns and looks, adding a textured feel with my Big Shot and the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder (#129984) resembles a trellis you'd see birds living on while adding a fun texture and additional pattern to the card.

Go for it!  Take on multiple challenges... as it is, people aren't usually one-dimensional.  I love that this card reminds me of something Victorian, covering multiple textures, materials and patterns, nature, vintage, feminine... so multi-dimensional!  Celebrate a Happy Bird-Day with someone and tweet them some cheer!

File it away.. And Stay Organized!!

I always wonder how teachers do it!  Wrangle a ton of little minions (or older minions - lol), process papers, teacher plans, Pinterest ideas (lol), box top collections, notes from parents, staff, business cards, report cards... whew!  Organization and patience are a key - one I'm often short on and working on, lol.

When my new Envelope Punch came in and I started playing (3o minutes after it was in - I rushed through eating dinner and ran off to play - just like my kids do, lol).  I LOVE the cool envelopes it creates (66 different sizes!).  I also love using it to make some FUN and Different Cards!  Incorporating this into a gift for our teacher is a fun surprise!
I love all things stationary... index card boxes were a big thing when I was younger... and I still love them.  They used to make great clothing trunks and accessory holders for my Barbies to storing great resources as I aged.

A fun gift for a special teacher in my life, I used the Envelope Punch (#133744) to create fun inserts for our organized teacher.
Inspired by this card, I couldn't resist using some of our Brights card stock family to create a fun file folder selection for some little item organization.

How do you create a file folder card??  Cut the 8-1/2" x 11" card stock at the 5-1/5" mark.  Flip the card over and SCORE using our Stampin' Trimmer (#126889) at 4" and 4-1/4" so that you create a space to actually store little items (like box tops, parent notes, etc.).

Staggered tabs allow for easy organization.  It's great to hold little notes, and items while easily seeing where to store the items.
I'm still wavering on how to decorate the box... here is the inside idea but the outside is still working... this teacher is very trendy, bold, strong and active.  The Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper (#130141) is a fun start for a fun teacher.
Open up this sweet box for a fun way to keep organized.  Bold colors are sure to inspire being used.  I'm always amazed at the little notes, cards, ideas, box tops and more that lands on a teacher's desk.  How do they keep track of it all??  I hope that this gives a fun place as an organized catch all for these bits of information.

I'm so glad you came by today and hope this inspires you to join me as I try to organize my life.. lol.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Share this, Pin, Email, Tweet, Facebook, Google+ and Join me on those avenues, YouTube and more!

Join me as we toast these unspoken heroes... TEACHERS!  I'm working on getting more and more organized, with the family I have and home businesses, we have tons of bits of paper I need to keep track of.  An organizer like this is sure to help me know where cards, notes, etc are.  It's also a great way to help budget by storing funds in the slots for needs.  Little boxes like these are great ways to keep life on point and making it colorful is just fun!

Sunflower Love

Metalics are all the rage!  Adding them to my wardrobe is easier than ever with my love of accessories - lol.  Make your projects more elegant with the addition of Gold and Silver.

What do you think... the combination of black and gold is so rich!  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share, Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, Google+ this.. and Follow Me on these avenues and YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Foursquare and more!  Please invite your friends and family to join us too.

Black cards often start right off as elegant.  Incorporating delicate and strong, fine and bold aspects to black and gold for a fun and clean look.
This card incorporates is a great way to bring some sunshine with this Metallic Gold Encore Pad (#132141 Holiday Catalog pg. 28) inked Sunflower (#123608) background stamp.  The fine lined image looks so rich and delicate on this card (like a strong but delicate gold chain you'd wear).  Unlike heat embossing that can sometimes create too thick of lines for a fine line project (resulting in slightly blob look) this stamp pad leaves a clean, shine of real gold and stands up to dark colors!
Stamping this Hostess Exclusive Express Yourself (#130339) 'love you' with the Jet Black Stazon ink (#101406) for a an almond scented (yummy) ink pad that stamps images clean and sharp.  Stamping on the Gold Foil Sheets requires an ink that isn't water based.  It's non porous and would wipe right off.  The Permanent Solvent Ink does a stunning job!

All tied up... wrap a project up with this tailored looking ribbon.  The Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon is sure to WOW with it's refined and tailored look.  The stamped words offset the stamped flower for a balanced look to your card.
Continue the FUN... lining a dark card is ideal if you aren't using a gel pen - this white card stock inside allows me to add the Encore Metallic Gold inked Sunflower to the inside - what fun and oh so easy to do!
Again, this pad does such a lovely job, doesn't it?  Such a stunning stamp and you are allowed to see all the fine lines that bring Sunshine in this Sunflower card!
Go ahead - grab some elegant and fun, trendy and cool metallic accents for your outfit... then incorporate them into your card making and paper crafting!  Celebrate the start of Fall, Nature and Classic Metallic Accents with a simple card like this.  Thanks for coming by, I post daily and hope to see you often, bring your friends and family along, too.

I couldn't resist throwing down a fun CHALLENGE (oh and purchasing them for my girls - lol)!  Come Play Along... Create a project that is inspired by these stunning dresses.... WINNER (leave me a comment with a blog post or email me the Project at Jamie@GettinCraftyStampin.com ) will receive this card!

It was too hard to pick... so I purchased them allllllll! Bahahahaha.... (imagine a twisted laugh here - lol).
Four Dresses, Two Girls, TONS of Fun!
Below is myyyy take on this card!  Come back for the next few days - I'll have different ones inspired by the above wardrobe!  Those who submit with a comment or an email will have their submission posted on this blog!!
I adore Black and White, Satin and Lace... combine them for this cool vintage look!
With a Circle Card Thinlits Die (#133480), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439) and Big Shot Magnetic Platform (#130658) you can create a moving card that is scored and cut for you!  Basic Black card stock (#121045) cut in 1/2 and scored at 2-1/2" it now creates this moving card with a flap and an area to write more!

These beautiful birds comes from the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (#126926).  Cut to create these great panels, the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334) creates this beautiful Lolly/Rosette for the moving center of the card.
Our stunning Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (#127555) is the center of this 'bow' create with our Victoria Crochet Trim (#118481).  Hot Glue holds the Rosette in place and this ribbon to cover the whole in the center.  It captures that elegant lace on the front of the dress...

This sharp Black Taffeta Ribbon (#119261) is trimmed in white. Held to the back of the card with Hot Glue, it's tied together and holds this moving card together... pull the ribbon and this is what happens...
The Rosette flips over and these Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) panels allow for you to write some inspiration.
Vintage, Classic Elegance inspired by these lovely dresses.    When a card moves, much like when a dress moves, it's sure to turn an eye or two.

Vintage Metal

Vintage Metal... the words bring me back to Hair Metal Bands of the 80's.. lol.  When I think back to the fun of my youth.. lol.. I can't help but smile!

Living on a Prayer... Sweet Child O Mine... Here I Go Again.... Round and Round... Rock You Like a Hurricane... Pour Some Sugar on Me... Welcome to the Jungle... Rag Doll... Sister Christian, Rock of Ages.. Nobody's Fool, Shot in the Dark...  OK so I digress
(this trip down memory lane was head banging - lol).

Vintage Metal HERE is a fun card.  Created for a wonderful lady, Cindi, who purchased a basket for a favorite author of mine, Brenda Novak, who does a Diabetes Auction every year.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Cindi likes Vintage... Soho Subway (#130140) Designer Series Paper is just that!  It has Summer Starfruit worked in so this Summer Starfruit card stock (#126839) is a warm base.
Running the Soho Subway Designer Series Paper through the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439) and the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder (#130916) for a cool aged look to the Letter Press Printed Page.

The new Gold Foil Sheets (#132622 Holiday Catalog pg.28) are so amazing...  here embossed with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder so it really shines up the look to this cool texture.
Timeless Talk stamp set (#126607) is so elegant, fun and classic.  It brings me back to when my Nanna and Pappa played records during the holidays.... here stamped with a Versa Mark Pad (#102283), covered in Gold Embossing Powder (#109129, heat set for a stunning vintage shine thanks to our Heat Tool (#129053).
Adding this sweet song to the inside of the card is uber easy and fun.  (It makes me nod my head a little... lol).
Can you hear the music??
Feel the Love??
When you combine the old with the new, it's amazing what you can do!
(I'm a poet and didn't know it - lol.)
What memories does this bring back to YOU??  Leave me a comment and let me know.
Don't forget to Pin and Share this with others...

Metallic, Vintage and Texture.. bring back wonderful memories.  When I think back to the fun of my youth.. lol.. I can't help but smile!

Flowers n Coffee

My hubby knows that for me a hot cup of coffee (especially on a rough day) is almost as amazing as a bouquet of roses.  So giving thissss girl a sweet cup of coffee and flowers... you have to wonder what he wants - lol.

So for my recent Breakfast Club class we started off with a piping cup of coffee (some had hot apple cider - lol).  Thissss card is what we created (well, there are two options) and it was such fun!
Perfect Blend (#131392) is the stamp set with this uber cute cup (and two fun sayings).  Here is a BRIGHT Way to Kick Off our weekend.  The Gingham Garden (#129310) Designer Series Paper is very bright and with a vintage flower and gingham look.
Stamping this cup three times with Versa Mark(#102283) on the Whisper White card stock (#100730) and the Island Indigo gingham and Daffodil Delight flower sheet.  Pouring the Black Embossing Powder (#109133) and heat set with the Heat Tool/Gun (#129053) for a sharp look.
Using the amazing Paper Snips (#103579) a MUST HAVE for all crafters, cut out the individual sections.  Adhere, using our SNAIL adhesive (#104332) piece by piece to the white embossed cup image - starting with the Daffodil Delight floral and polka dot paper.  Make the cup cozy in Island Indigo gingham pop when you raise it above the others with the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (#104430).

This subtle pop up of the cozy adds dimension and depth - a fun little touch.

Layered over our Tea Lace Paper Doily (#129399) that was cut in 1/2 for a frilly neutral that helps to separate this bold cup from the Melon Mambo (#115320) card stock base.
Washi it up.... adding fun coordinated accents to the inside of cards is a great way to continue the love!    Here adding the Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape (#129314) to the inside.  It's a whimsical accent.  Tie in the doily with the Delicate Details Lace Tape (#130966) to coordinate with the front Doily.
So - for those who don't LOVE the Perfect Blend... take the card in a slightly different direction with the Secret Garden stamp set (#129144) and coordinating Secrete Garden Framelits (#129372).  The same layout as the bright coffee card with the change up.

Embossing the flowers in the White Embossing Powder (#109132) for a bright look.  Yippee-Skippee greeting stamp set (#131341) is a fun and funky set of sayings that go right along with this bright card!
Adding our adhesive backed Pearl Basic Jewels to the flower centers... or do as Christine did and snag my permanent markers (I recently purchased a large pkg of Bics and the colors were very close to OUR Colors!  Whoot! Whoot!!).  She had fun coloring the pearls for her card... for a color loving momma... it's a perfect fit!
Again, a Coordinated inside allows for the fun to live on!  Look like you are giving some extra love!

No matter which card you like more... they both are very fun and festive!  Kick starting my weekend with our Breakfast Club Classes... they are quick, fun, and sure to brighten your day!  CLICK HERE to see my fun line-up of upcoming classes!!  Join Me in the FUN (On-Line Classes, too!) of Paper Crafting and Rubber Stamping!

Your Amazing Blossoms

Isn't it amazing when someone does something so nice and thoughtful for YOU?!?

I was recently blessed, again, with a beautiful gift from a dear friend... she gifted me with a Blue Rose... in honor of my desire but lack of ability to grow them - lol.
When I think of Carol - I think Clear Lines, Sharp and Elegant... so creating a card for her is fun!  (What ever you do - don't use a sketch/drawn type stamp - she doesn't care for those - lol.)

This card was pulled together with the aide of my Color Coach Tool (#130118).  Pool Party card stock (#122924) is the base for this sweet Stippled Blossoms stamp set (#126747) Blue Rose Card.
OK So Carol Embroidered this stunning towel so that I'd have an everlasting Blue Rose!  (I've tried growing the 'Blue Moon' Rose - to no avail, sigh.)  Isnt' that just the sweetest?!?!
THANKS Carol!!
Partial Embossing... is a cool and easy technique!  Here the Whisper White (#100730) card stock is embossed with the new Pretty Print Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#132175 from the Holiday Catalog pg.24).
Stamping with the Island Indigo ink (#126986) as it was paired with Pool Party by my Color Coach. Amazing Family (#129192) stamp set is elegant and vintage and PERFECT for this card (Friends are really Family that You Pick!)!
ONCE you stamp the Friend (or sentiment of choice) you leave room for the ribbon or accent you want to add.  Embossing ABOVE this area is easy to do with my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (#113439) and the Pretty Print Textured Embossing Folder.
Adhering this new and stunning metallic Silver shiny 1/8" Ribbon (#132137 - Holiday Catalog pg.28) with our Glue Dots (#103683) for a clean look.
Stippled Blossoms stamp set is a 2-Step Stamping System.  I am asked (often) how to do this.... what you do is stamp one color (usually the lighter color) with the solid image.  Add Dimension when you use a darker color on top.  Here Pool Party ink (#126982) for the base and Island Indigo ink (#126986) for the top adding dimension.  You cannnn do it the other way if you are using a Craft Ink or Embossing with a color that will stand up to the darker base.
Isn't it just amazing how quickly this 2-Step look comes to life?!?!  Dazzle it UP with our TOMBO multipurpose liquid glue (#110755).  There are two tips to this bottle - using the fine end, highlight areas on the flower.  Sprinkle our Silver Stampin' Glitter (#132205 Holiday Catalog pg.29) to coordinate in with the Silver ribbon!
A Monochromatic card in cool tones... what a great way to THANK such a wonderful friend for such a kind and loving gesture (that towel is hiding in myyyyy bathroom - no way that my kids are getting their hands on this baby - lol).
Whether you like the dazzle or not... this card is sharp looking!  The built in highlights with the 'blank space' that shows the white through, the darker highlights.... this is multi-tonal and oh, so easy!!
Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (#104430) hold this cut out rose (so easily done with our Paper Snips #103579).  The subtle script (it doesn't say anything - we've looked, lol) is so elegant and a great neutral base.

How do YOU Personalize your Thank You's?
Celebrate Friendships??

Life would be very lonely with out good friends to celebrate life with, lean on when you are in need of support... laugh at the antics of my kids, hubby, animals.... I don't have family near by so I've been blessed to have friends who support me!!

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)
