My Dad was my hero for most of my life. He always made quality time for me, encouraged my modeling and acting as a child to my writing and stamping as I grew up. He passed the day after my birthday, a week before I had Carina. He was 72.
My Uncle Richard is the best of my Grandpa and Dad rolled into one loving, compassionate and fun men I know. He has always spent quality time with me, leads his family with grace and love and leads us, all, to the Lord by his quiet example. My kids call him Gpa Richard.
I grew up in the love and shelter of my "cousin" Jody (who now leads a growing church). My Uncle's boys who treated me like a little sister, offering words of wisdom, love and encouragement as well as giving me a hard time on a regular basis. The legacy continues as their wives and children do the same for our kids.
From Pastors who married my hubby and I to pastors who continue to lead us, family and friends... I am so blessed! Thanks!
I married a wonderful Italian man and inherited his gregarious dad. We were blessed with our 5 girls and our one boy. Watching him grow, love the Lord and his family, create worship songs, play sports with Zeal and pray for his future wife.... I see the amazing legacy of the men in my life start in a new generation.
So, today is Father's Day and I want to give Thanks for the amazing men in my life, count my blessings and honor all men on this Father's day.
