Labor Day Special

Today is Labor day and it is our annual attendance to our friends, the Wheelock family's, Pool Party, BBQ Potluck party! With nearly 20 families, the amazing lagoon, rock slide and more... It's a blast! (What an honor to be invited year after year!)

I contributed my favorite Sweet n Sassy Beans, yummmm! I also created this cute Rice Krispy Cupcakes boats. I stamped these toppers (my kids said the cupcakes became boats lol).


Labor Day

Started in New York City in 1882, Labor Day was made a national holiday in 1894 as a means to reconcile with disgruntled laborers in the aftermath of the Pullman Strike. Since then, Labor Day has become a gift for all you hardworking men and women, so take advantage of the time off to float in the pool, lounge in the hammock, and eat your weight in potato salad, because tomorrow it's back to the grind!
 
Here is a Topper I made using Toothpicks and our new Butterfly stamp and Punch... With Melon Mambo bright pink - it really Pops!  I topped it off with a lil pearl at the top of each butterfly.  We created two toppers to appeal to the guys and girls in our group... with Bright colors topping the bright lil goodies... see the MDS2 Recipe Attached, too... Yumm and Super Easy!
My kids and theirs.... My girls and I... FUN was had by ALL!!  Sun was a highlight, food, laughter, connections and more!  Labor day was a labor of love with this gang!

She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
