My almost 7 year old wanted to create a Sparkling Birthday Wishes card for her friend Sage... we created this fun card. Our Shimmer Paper makes adding Sparkle and Shine Easy and FUN!! Adding Color to the Shimmer Paper is as simple as coloring it in. I like to Brayer when I'm using a ton of color... otherwise I use markers for little dashes of color.
Here our Cupcake Punch punches out all the pieces of a cupcake worthy of a celebration. We used our Stampin' Write Markers to color a Pink cherry and green stem.
Using our new Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L and Big Shot with this Designer Series Paper Twitterpated we created these fun doilies to alternate. The Double Sided nature of our DSP allows for easy coordination and mixing of patterns - that's just sooo popular right now!
It's easy to add dimension with our Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive. I used the SNAIL adhesive to adhere the doilies on the bottom layer. Then the floral Doily with three Dimensionals lifts that next layer up... then again with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch in Whisper White.
Having punched the cupcake out of the Twitterpated DSP and then the Shimmer Paper... I alternated the pieces. The whole package of DSP is coordianted in colors and makes it easy to look amazing!
Our Genevieve wanted to 'color in' the Bring on the Cake sentiment (from the Bring on the Cake stamp set from the Idea Book)... she used the Stampin' Write Markers Pen side and had fun coodinating the sentiment to the papers and cupcake/cherry.
This card shines in any light... it's fun and perfect for a 7 year old's birthday party! Myyyy almost 7 year old had a blast making it... and doesn't she just look so cute??
(I'm biased, I guess.. lol)
What can YOU do with the Shimmer Paper?? Have fun with our Big Shot and Punches and there is NO Going Wrong!
Thanks for looking! Feel free to share this with others and comments are always appreciated! I hope YOUR day Sparkles and Shines!!
