Blue Roses for My Amazing Friend!!

Roses are Red...
Violets are Blue...
There is NO Sweeter Friend...
Than YOU!
 
 When sending a card, I'm more inclined to lean towards my favorite colors.... one of which is BLUE! 
So, creating this fun 3D rose card for an Amazing Friend,
I couldn't help myself but to go with this
STUNNING paper (in a beautiful blue ~ Midnight Muse!!)from the
Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack (Spring Mini)!

With the beautiful Amazing Family stamp set (Spring Mini)
I created this card for an Amazing Friend
(some friends are like family, aren't they?!?!). 
 
My favorite tool is the Color Coach...
it partners up Bashful Blue with Midnight Muse as a monochromatic best~friend match!
Creating the 3D rose is easier than you'd imagine!  Taking an excess strip of paper, punch the edge with the Scallop Edge Border punch.  Roll the edges out with your finger and then use Mini Glue Dots and roll the rose on it's self - I went a little lose with the rolling.  Finish off with molding the rose's petals out and you now have a BEAUTIFUL 3D Rose!


Adhere the 3D rose with a Glue Gun or Mini Glue Dots...
a stronger adhesive is needed when adhering a 3D item.

This BLUE Card is very Feminine with the aide of the scrolled pattern on the Designer Series Paper, the addition of the rose, accented by the Pearls Basic Jewels (adhesive backed pearls on a strip - with over 150 pearls per sheet - it's quite a deal!) and the vintage sentiment.  Adding the richness of the luxurious pearls is a great way to warm up a card, too!

I have always wanted a BLUE Rose plant....
I can create blue roses by placing fresh cut white roses in blue food colored water but to growwwwww them....
I've ordered 'blue rose' plants and they just don't take... sigh. 
So - Creating a rose, like this, that will not die, it's fun and fills a desire in my heart!

    Great card! I love how you used pearls to underline AMAZING and your blue rose. Maybe someday you'll get them to grow in real life - though in the meantime, the food color is a pretty clever alternative.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now.
