Forever Young, Word Play

Spring has SPRUNG!
Today I purchased a beautiful Spring/Summer Taupe long maxi dress... then my mind went to Accessorizing it... What color did I decided to pair with Taupe?!?!  Crisp, dark, gloss black!!!!
 
This new Spring/Summer (I will be thinner and healthier) dress inspired this card... what do YOU think?!?!

common comment at my kitchen table...  
So, Don't Play With Your Food... how about Play with your WORDS!  Well, our FUN Greeting Stamp set, 'Word Play' fits most of our needs and especially fits this Forever Young stamp set!

With a Sahara Sand card stock base I stamped with the Sahara Sand ink for a subtle and elegant look the frames, silhouettes and the clock...

Using our Embossing Buddy, a powder pack, I dusted the card.  This is a great way to 'dry' up any moisture or oils on the card (like from the Sahara Sand ink) and preps the card for the Versa Mark ink.  Heat Embossing with our Black embossing powder this greeting, the girl on the swing... such a sweet Spring Memory... I look forward to a fun filled Summer!  (Am I rushing things - lol?!?!)
Capturing this sweet swinging girl, the vintage sentiment that lays over the clock - a subtle reminder of the time that has past... I know many childhood friends I want to send this too.. maybe my Aunt D who had me many a summer!
Taupe is a soft, warm neutral and our Sahara Sand really embraces this feeling.  Adding the Patent Leather look (wait, am I thinking accessories, again?!?!!) of our Heat Embossed images is a fun way to mix up a trendy look!

Some of my sweetest were when I stayed with my Aunt D and  cousin Jeanell... we swam daily, sun bathed (that doesn't happen these days - lol), rode bikes, played street hockey and had TONS of fun!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
