I'm beyond blessed when it comes to the teachers that my children have...
I've had no fear in entrusting my best creation to these amazing ladies, knowing that they will be loved, protected and nurtured!
When one of our teacher's birthday came up, I couldn't resist creating a warm, inviting, classy card for a lady who embraces all of that! Mrs. Nedwick, we love you!
When creating a card that all the 1st graders can sign, I did a Full Sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" folded in 1/2. Using our Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (#129311) in my Big Shot (#113439) and the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#127819) for this quilted feminine look.
Stamping our Crumb Cake ink (#126975) with the Delicate Doilies (#122592) on our Tea Lace Paper Doily (#129399 $2.95 for 24 doilies - wow!). Stamping the Happy Birthday from the Blue Ribbon stamp set (#125981). The issue with stamping on the Paper Doilies, the ink takes forever to dry! So I remedy this with the wet ink grabbing our Clear (#109130) embossing powder to set the color and image.
Our STUNNING Swallowtail background stamp (#129216) stamped on the So Saffron (105118) card stock in Early Espresso ink (126974). While freshly stamped I sprinkled our Iridescent Ice (#101930) embossing powder for a dash or sparkle to the card. The Early Espresso clearly stands and the dash or sparkle adds a fun element.
Our 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade (#122977) is feminine, falls in line with femininity of this card.
Dipping our Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim in Calypso Coral ink (#126983) for color and coordination with the Tea for Two paper (#129311).
I love the kids signing the card... here popping our Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526) with the scrap Designer Series Paper for a Pop Up card... how sweet is that?!?!!
Framing the card and images with our adhesive backed Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) for some luster and additional feminine elegance. Popping the small pearl to the center of the stamped doily is a perfect addition.
I hope that this sweet card inspires you to play and make someone's day! My dear friend and the teacher to my kiddos.. she is elegance, femininity and grace... I hope this card embraces her.
