Bootiful Clouds

Clouds have a way of filling the air with expectancy.  You know the rain may fall, clearing the muck of the world away.  When that rain does drop, the world smells anew, clean and refreshed... I hope that this card expresses a similar feel.

With one of myyyy FAVORITE Stamp sets Bootiful Occasions (#126597) makes for some amazing cards!  I'm a boot-addict - lol - so it's a natural fit!
 
Here the Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Series Paper (#130141) is the twist on a clouded background.. The Pool Party cardstock (#122924) coordinates perfectly with this pretty patterned paper.  The twists of the mosaic print with loops - it's like looking into a puffy sky.
The Color Coach (#130118) pairs Pool Party with Pumpkin Pie!  Here the Island Indigo ink (#126986) stamped on Whisper White card stock (#100730).  Color IN the Rain Boot with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker (#105115).

Rub the edges of the bootiful cardstock in the Island Indigo - this allows for the card to stand out against the patterned background, be coordinated and gives the illusion of a small layer.
Our Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (#113439 ~ See how to get this for 1/2 OFF!) and the Retired Cloudy Day Embossing Folder (Occasions/Spring Mini) adds a wonderful cloudy texture!!  A sneaky way to add these sweet clouds... our Cupcake Builder punch (#121807) allows for the puffy cupcake top to be sweet fluffy clouds!

Make sure the clouds flow off of the page - it allows for a more realistic look while being appealing for the eye.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
