Creamcicle Day!

Sweet and Oh So Yummy... when you find a reason to party, celebrate and dish on sweets... GO FOR ITtttt!!
 
Psssst - I am sooo giving you a reason, right now! 
 It's NATIONAL Creamcicle Day!! 
 
So go run to the corner market, hop on the end of your shopping cart and with one swift push of your foot - ride that bad boy down the frozen food isle... they are still out there - these vintage treats are just waiting for you!! (weeeeeeeee!!)
Creating a fun card to celebrate such an important holiday is fun and pretty easy!!
With so many reasons to celebrate... there are holidays every day of the year... today just happens to be sweet with creamy coolness!
Popsicle sticks cut in 1/2 means that like card stock - two makes one card!  Here Pumpkin Pie card stock (#105117)  cut into a standard card size - then I removed 2" to accommodate the Popsicle stick - so it will STILL fit inside the card!
 
Hot glue is a girls best friend - it's uber strong and clear, subtle and fast!  Here it holds this stick (heavier of an accessory) to this card.
Adding the 'cream' to the inside with the Whisper White card stock (#100730).  With the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (#119854) create a 'bite mark' to the Pumpkin Pie corner.  Make it deeper of a bite so that the 'cream center' peeks through when assembled.
Yummmmm... yes??
Guilt Free.... Awesome-ness!!
 
This vintage treat deserves a vintage sentiment... the Perfectly Penned (#122892) reminds me old 'soda shop' writing.  Stamped with Versa Mark (#102283) and Heat Set White Embossing Powder (#109132) and our Heat Tool (#129053).
 
It's glossy, raised, vintage goodness - and oh-so-easy!
Rounded corners are key to the look of this creamsicle... our 3/16th Corner punch (#119871).
Here my daughter thought this card was sweet - so sweet she couldn't resist modeling for me.  We look forward to our after dinner dessert.  Creamcicles bring me back to summers with my cousin Jeanell as we ran after the ice cream trucks... I'm sure she and I looked just like this once we had our treats!
Life can be stressful or dull... so Sweeten It UP... Find amazing reasons to CELEBRATE!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
