Elegant Lady? Give an Elegant Birthday Gift (in a Jar!)

Do YOU like to give gifts that are appreciated over and over?  Perfectly sized??  It can be what they say 'it's the thought that counts' when you give a Personalized gift!  Speaking to someone's style meeting their needs, and wowing them when they feel special because it's all about them and how you know them!  Join me as I celebrate a good family friend's birthday with this awesome jar for her birthday!

What do you think?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  Share this, Pin, Email, Facebook, Tweet, and Follow Me on those avenues, YouTube, Instagram, The Vine, LinkedIn, too!
Feminine, Elegant, Vintage and Classic... this is our good friend Donna.  Creating a gift that meets those requirements is sheer joy!  Melinda, her daughter, and I work out at the gym around 5am daily... we actually met through her mom!  So when we are asked, at the gym, if we are sisters - we have to laugh!  I do love her mom like a mom.

Taking this Ball jar and creating a fun gift... I started with Etcetera (#130129) Designer Series Paper.  Take ANY jar you have - re purposed or not and create a custom gift!  Here I created a 'belly band' with the Etcetera.  Using a scrap to 'fill in' the small missing piece is fine - this eclectic mix of print and design allows for this.
Hot Glue will be a must on this whole package.
Incorporating Champagne Glimmer Paper (#127885) for a warm sparkle... the Cupcake Builder punch (#121807) and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch (#118874) combined with the Etcetera paper and the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch (#119854) create this fun centerpiece that is sure to celebrate her special day!
Little Presents??  Oh YES!  Donna (and her daughter Melinda) love chocolate!  So I took a strip of the Etcetera Designer Series Paper and wrapped these chocolate nuggets.  Taking the Small Oval punch (#120908) and using alternating pattern sides for a cohesive look I folded in half two ovals to create these sweet bows!  Hot glue holds this together and the Large Pearl Basic Jewels (#125577), though adhesive backed, stay on better and hide the center of this bow with the residual hot glue.
Aren't these sweet nuggets wonderful gifts??  Easy and sure to WOW.  Giving chocolates is a sure fire way to bless most people, but wrapping them to resemble a present adds something awesome, don't you think?!?!

Taking our 1-3/4" Scallop Circle punch and the 3/4" Circle punch (#119873) create a top for these miniature battery operated tea-lights.  Wrapping the edge in this lace paper reminds me of a pretty decorated cake.  Hot gluing the edges of this scallop punched topper for a pretty polka dot cake look.  The everlasting, calorie-free cake - YAY!
The Envelope Punch (#133774) is awesome!  I adore creating envelopes and cards with it!!  here taking a piece of the Etcetera paper to create a wonderful coordinating envelope.  This new product makes me look awesome - YAY!!!  Here it created a pretty envelope for a 3" card.

Adhering this Vintage Faceted Designer Button (#127555) to the envelope on only 1/2 of the base of the button allows me to use this as a clasp.  Simply tucking the flap under for a pretty accent!  I love that these adhesive backed pearls fit right in the center of the buttons!!
The Double Sided Etcetera paper has an automatic liner that is sure to WOW!!  Wouldn't YOU just love to see an envelope like this?!?!  I know I'd be blown away!!
Stamping the Petite Pairs (#122497) birthday sentiment is ideal, it's petite (lol) and doesn't overwhelm the card.  Accenting the card with a reminant of the Victoria Crochet Trim (#118481) that I'd used to wrap the lid of this jar.  I love that a scrap can look like it's not and fit perfectly on a cute card!
Very Vanilla card stock (#101650) is an ideal, neutral base so that the pretty paper can be the highlight of this card.  Less is more and this minimal card is pretty perfect, don't you think?

I like to use tissue paper for the base in these jars.  It prevents damage to the contents and limits noise.  Here, tucked in nice and neat, the present is super sweet!  I love that the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911) allows me to pick a perfect top size depending on my jar!  The Big Shot Die-Cutting machine* (#113439) and Magnetic Platform* (#130658) are a must for crafters!!  Cutting through a ton of materials for so many uses! (*See HOW to get the Big Shot and/or Magnetic Platform for FREE or 1/2 off as a Hostess!!)
From THIS... a clean, plane glass jar...
To THIS!!  A gift that is Vintage, Elegant, Classic and FUN!  Perfectly sized as a gift, it's not too big, too small - it's just right (and oh so pretty, too!).

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
