Made it to New Orleans!

I flew today from California to New Orleans... a business training had me making arrangements for my kids, hubby and life... while I boarded a jet plane (are you singing that song in your head? lol) and took on this adventure!
A beautiful Fall morning in California had me up at 4:30am, and running to catch an airplane from LAX.... I couldn't resist capturing a picture of our amazing view, the clouds and rays of sunshine and hope.. while the Fly Away bus took me downtown.
I'm On Top of the WORLD!!  or so I felt as we eased over the clouds and found beautiful blue skies!
A quick 'selfie' of my flight... I texted my hubby and kids, just in case they forgot what I looked like (lol).
My first views of the Mississippi!!  Grand Louisianna lays out before me... I'm so excited to be going back to New Orleans!  This is a pre-baby favorite vacation for my hubby and I... the last time I was in New Orleans was with my son when he was a baby.
We all heard of the devastation of the Hurricanes on this part of the country... so to see it back and recovered... healed a part of my heart.  Paul, my airplane neighbor, said that this is his home and the city is in full swing... healed and stronger than ever!
Tammy and I met up at the airport.  Having a network world of stampers is like having a database of friends with a heart like yours!  We are rooming and having a blast!  Touring the streets, cobble stone roads, mardi gras bead filled stores, a delicious dinner of fresh fried oysters and fish, people watching... oh there is so much to do and see in New Orleans and I'm not alone doing so!
Excited.. it doesn't cover how I'm feeling!!  We are having a few fun moments today as we are revving up for training tomorrow.. eek!
Sovenier shopping... oh yes, please!  I love bringing home little gifts for my family and couldn't resist seeing how I'd look in them - lol.  OK so this would probably freak out my babies.. it's going back....
I LOVE this one... I can't wait to shop later in the week... I wonder how much I can fit into my carry-on.. eek!!
Chicory Coffee, Beneigs... the perfect dessert after our long flights and day!  Go ahead.. don't count the calories in these French doughnuts.. lol.. we walked 20 or so minutes to get to it and then back - I'm sure it helped burn those calories..  I can't wait to see the many sights of this amazing city... after the filled days of training.

Expect more from me as I learn and grow my business!  Join me in this fun crafting walk I call life!!  I'm never alone, surrounded by fellow stampers across the world!!  Life is more fun with others joining you.. and I'm hoping to have you join me in celebrating and growing through the excitement we call life!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
