Light Up Our Lives!!

When a Teacher touches the lives and hearts of our kids it's hard not to be blessed by it!  We are blessed to have an amazing Kindergarten teacher who has had 3 of our children in her class.  So when, as room-mom I needed a card for her Christmas gift this Thumb-Print Art came to mind.  Go ahead, hand-stamp a card and let her know that she lights up your life!

To create this card you need:
22 cute little fingers (lol)
Real Red ink pad (#126949)
Old Olive ink pad (#126953)
Old Olive card stock (#100702)
Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper (#126902)
Whisper White card stock (#100730)
Dazzling Details (#124117)
Envelope Punch Board (#133774)
Stamping the boys and girls in distinct colors that was inspired by the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper.  Old Olive for our boys and Real Red for the girls.  It's fun to see the squished lines they leave behind.
 
Add a dash of sparkle and make them feel like they are lit up with our Dazzling Details liquid sparkle.  Circling the finger prints is a quick way to reflect light and highlight each impression.
 
Layer the stamped 'lights' on the Whisper White with this Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper Real Red sheets.  1/2" Strips adhered give a perfect frame to this cute look.  Layer on an extra large 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Old Olive card stock.  I love how the Old Olive Polka Dot Parade page and our Envelope Punch Board makes a coordinated envelope large enough and matching to fit this extra large card!
Add a simple sentiment like this to show that you and the class care!  Here the Pop-Up envelope makes a statement and with the Real Red Polka Dot Parade paper it makes for a cool and coordinated card!

Leave a little piece of each child in the class with the teacher when you do fun and memorable Finger-Print Art.  Here she holds in her hand a little bit of each of our kiddos. 
 
Our Inks are water based so they are quick drying and wash off pretty easily.  I love, too, how a fun and coordinated project can showcase their little sweet finger prints in a memorable Christmas Card!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
