When celebrating a boy's birthday, sometimes you have to get creative. My nephew just turned 9 so, using Punch Art, I created this cool Batman Inspired 9th Birthday card. Evan and his father (who passed this summer) embraced a serious love of the caped crusader and I hope that this hand-stamped punch-art card and gift bag celebrates his style (being filled with Batman toys and new clothes should help, too, lol).

Taking the Basic Black card stock and Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and creating this large butterfly. Shape this butterfly into a Bat when you punch off the bottom of the wings with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. (This would be great for a Halloween card, too!)
Using the Circles Collection Framelits, Big Shot and Magnetic Platform punch out this Whisper White 'Bat Signal' circle. Adhere with SNAIL adhesive. Layer towards the top of the Smoky Slate card base.
Create the lights of the 'signal' with our White Stampin' Chalk Marker* and a Ruler! Easy Peasy!
This simple 'Happy Birthday' in Basic Black ink says it all... while not taking away from the Bat Signal card.
My brother-in-law shared his love of and passion for Batman... so it's extra special these days for his family.
Here, Evan and my kiddos, enjoy family time. Celebrating life with love and laughter.
Happy Birthday big boy!!
Creating a like image for my Gift Bag was easy to do. Adding this 'silhouette' #9 for his 9th birthday is similar to how the silhouette of Batman is in the signal light.

Have fun with Punch Art and take a Butterfly card from cute to a Batman COOL CARD (for one cool kid). So as we celebrate Evan, his love of the caped crusader and another fun birthday... have FUN with the cards you create while getting personal! Creating a boy's card can be a challenge.. especially as his (and my son's age range) isn't a full teen nor a little boy any more (sigh, where does the time go?!?!). This fun hand-stamped, punch-art card is a great way to show we care.
