This Easter my kiddos had a blast stuffing the Carrot Paper Cones we made for our Easter Weekend. So as my family celebrated this glorious event... we handed out these Sweet-Sweet Treats!!
Please let me share with you our Easter weekend!!
This weekend we had Good Friday with our Church family, an Italian family fest on Saturday and returned to my family roots in East Los Angeles at a church my Grandfather built, still pastored by our family!!
In honor of this amazing weekend, my kids wanted to celebrate and celebrate we did! These sweet treat filled Carrot Paper Cones brought delight to our family and friends.
The kids loved handing these out to our Italian Family.. they were 'decorating' the tables and plates with them.
Our Italian family from Australia were visiting. Did you know that they call candy 'lolly'?? So it was a hoot as my kids tried to translate their Australian Accented Italian English - that all candy is a lolly, not just our lollipops! (Not much is cuter than an Australian accented Italian speaking person - lol. We are blessed with many family members that live on this stunning island and when they come visit, it's always a celebration!) JUST DO NOT say that you are 'stuffed'... ummm, the Italian food maybe great, but they'll think you are Pregnant!! lol
This platter of over 100 Carrot Paper Cones was quickly created (see my Tutorial). My girls helped me by stuffing them as I created them - over 200 this weekend and under two hours total! They left a lasting impression and delivered sweet smiles!!
Time with my family... it's too rare! We are busy folk. Missing our beloved Grandparents who were always bringing us together... my husband and younger kiddos drove down to the church my Grandfather built (by hand!). Jody and Vanessa are pastors there and God Parents to my Carina.
We celebrated with wonderful worship music, family, blessings on the kids... it is wonderful to see the legacy of my grandparents in the love of our family and the futures of our kids.
(Here my four youngest were getting silly with me as we enjoyed good food and family!)
What a sweet decoration! Laying these Carrot Paper Cones across this serving platter and building up - it mimics a fancy wreath or decoration (oh so quick to create). The members of the family and church smiled and enjoyed these sweet treats... really who wouldn't??
So from Myyyyy Family and Friends to YOURS... I hope that Your Easter was a blessed time filled with love, laughter, family, friends and sweet smiles!
Happy Easter!
He Is Risen!!
