OK so I needed an Extra-Large Die for the letters and didn't have one.  I love our smaller dies that work in the Big Shot.. who needs a 4" high letter??  Well, me, in this case - lol.  So using my Word program on my Computer, I played with the fonts and sizes (525 point for the lower case 'a' to be the same size as the 425 point font for the capital U, N, T in Ariel Black and Bolded).  Print the letters and using the Paper Snip, cut them out!
Using this Template to draw (with a pencil - erase any 'errors') on the Coaster Board then using the strong and heavy duty Craft Scissors to cut our these extra large letters.  BAM!  Cool and Easy!  Cutting the 12" board into 4" x 12" strips to make great book strips.
Coloring the backs of these letters will give a polished and coordinated look.
Michelle went bonkers over the stunning * Designer Series Paper options!!  Settling on the colorful Confetti Celebration collection that pops with color and design while balanced with the Basic Grey... it created a beautiful book!  Being Double Sided - the letters are the opposite side to each piece we used.  Adhere a piece to the back of the Coaster Board, it will create a colorful celebration!!

Isn't Michelle a doll??  She couldn't resist creating something for her creative Aunt.  I've heard her rave about her Aunt for years now!  She came to me to create something that celebrates the woman who brings so many joys to her life.  Apparently her Aunt is known for making amazing crafts for her family and friends.. awwww.

*Stampin' Up! offers DOUBLE your dollars worth with our Double Sided Designer Series Paper!  They are making these stunning collections even sweeter - with a FREE Designer Series Paper offer.  CLICK HERE to see more about how these 8 standard Designer Series Paper Collections are being offered for FREE - with every 3 you buy the 4th is FREE - and it's UNLIMITED!!  YIPEEE!!  I LOVE paper.. sigh... and these collections make for easy and stunning crafting (and gifts!).  For a LIMITED TIME - so grab YOUR Free Collections before the end of July!!
Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Coaster Board using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  With two tips to the Multipurpose Liquid Glue you can do fine or larger projects.  Here the larger tip spreads the perfect amount of glue down to hold the Designer Series Paper to it.
With the two pages open, you get multiple but coordinated pages that are perfect to celebrate your memories!
Having cut the first 'page' to 3" long, the next was 7", then 10" and 12" long - the letters hang over the ends to overlap!
Punch these holes in the side and use Book Rings (from my office supply store) to hold the pages together.  Tie on pretty ribbons, add brads, bling, etc and customize your book!!

(Update! Here is her Aunt receiving the book and feeling loved!!)
Perfect to journal your memories, add pictures and to sit on someone's coffee table.  This is a gift that is to be cherished!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
