Happy 4th of July! Today is a day about celebrating our freedom and those who paid for it with their lives. At my recent trip to Big Bear, when shopping I found this vintage, 'tea stained' flag that was for sale. I drooled but the price was too much (sigh). Coming home, I created a similar, darker colored flag with a vintage vibe hand-stamped card.
Create this card with:
Chalk Lines (Photopolymer 135005)
Very Vanilla card stock (101650)
Cherry Cobbler card stock (119685)
Cherry Cobbler ink pad (126966)
Night of Navy ink pad (126970)
Silver Glimmer Paper (RETIRED*)
Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (133787)
SNAIL (Simple Neat Affordable In-Line) adhesive (104332)
Stampin' Dimensional Adhesive (104430)
Color Coach (133718)

Using the Chalk Lines stamp set to create this card is super easy!! Pairing the Cherry Cobbler with the Night of Navy thanks to the Color Coach for a beautiful look. Stamping the Night of Navy portion first, cleaning it and then the Cherry Cobbler for this vintage flag look.
*The Photopolymer stamps do have three quick tips... (1) They are the 'vampire' of stamps - lol. They can change color if they are exposed to sunlight for long periods of time - they need to be used and put away. This said, I can stamp for a long period of time and it won't change color. (2) They can tear - they are a thinner material than the rubber of our clear mount and wood mount stamps. Caution when removing and using... (3) Clean these babies.... they can stain. So I like to clean them quickly after using them as the Photopolymer can stain. The Stampin Scrub (126200) and the Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner (102394/101022).
Punching these stars using the Silver Glimmer Paper (RETIRED*) and the Itty Bitty Accessory Punch Star for a pretty circle/vintage flag look. Raise them us using the 'side' of the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive (cut into smaller pieces with the Paper Snips) for an addition of depth.

No matter how you celebrate this 4th of July - may it bring to mind the freedoms, sacrifices and blessings we have here in the U.S.A. I love finding inspiration all around - this is a great alternative to the stunning but very costly flag we saw in Big Bear. Create and celebrate life with a lovely hand-stamped card and bless someone by giving it!
