Boo-Boo? Yes... so when you stamp on our Vellum card stock with our ink pads you have a problem that I forgot about. The Vellum card stock is not porous so the dye-based ink will not dry on the surface for a very long time.. shoot! Then I modified this card with a dash of sparkle for a WOW hand-crafted card.
Tool Tip Tuesday: Embossing powder will adhere to more than just Versa Mark ink! Sprinkle the Island Indigo inked surface with the Iridescent Ice embossing powder and shake off the extra. Heat Emboss with the Heat Tool. This will absorb the wet ink and set up (if heated quickly) with a raised, sparkling surface! BAM - a great 'fix' for this stamped Bright and Beautiful star!
Do this with Three Stars and die-cut using the Stars Framelits on the Magnetic Platform and Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine. Fold each in half where the embossed image is on the inside of the fold. Using Fast Fuse adhesive to adhere the folded 'back' of the star and match up to a same fold of each of the three stars. Adhere it to the Pool Party card stock base with the Fast Fuse Adhesive for a quick and wow 3D, pop-up, sparkling star accent (not bad for a mistake, right??).
This greeting from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set says it all! I LOVE it and how it fits so well with this 3D, pop-up, hand-stamped, sparkling star. Paired together with the aide of my Color Coach, the Island Indigo and Pool Party create a cool feel to this pretty hand-crafted card.

I love how beauty can come from a mistake. That's life in some ways... taking what was intended, seeing it not work as you'd thought, and creating something amazing when you have to change it up. This hand-crafted card was a mistake made great! Create a 3-D card with this cool technique... this star will fold flat to mail and will pop-up or easily 'fluffed up' for a unique hand-stamped Christmas card! What boo-boo can you look at anew and create into something cool?
