A Holiday Spirit kind of day

It's a tradition... my kiddos and I spend the first few days after school is out for Winter Break to bake!  We bake up a storm - for our neighbors, family, friends and for my husband's staff!  We also shop up a storm - lol... including gift cards we add to a hand-stamped card that my husband writes an appreciation note inside of.  So here is a peak at our day, the hand-crafted cards and baked yummies!

With a diversified staff, it's great that we offer a stamp to meet the needs of those in our life.  Here the Happy Hanukkah stamp is STUNNING!  The scrolled image makes me so happy!  Stamped with Silver Encore ink on the Night of Navy card stock makes for a sharp look.  Using the Labels framelits on the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and the Magnetic Platform create a stylish frame.
 
I love the All is Calm Designer Washi Tape.  The simple texture and pattern addition makes for a cool background addition.  Adding a star texture to the Smoky Slate card stock base for a pretty accent.  The pretty accent of the Rhinestone Jewel and it's ease with the adhesive back gives me a pretty accent to a pretty stamp!
Sigh.. I adore, yes - adore, the Bright and Beautiful stamp set!!  The fact that it coordinates with the Stars framelits makes my life so easy!!  Stamped with the Silver Encore ink - this Night of Navy star is classic and elegant.  Take it up a notch with the simple addition of the adhesive backed Rhinestone jewel to the center.  Raising the die-cut image with the Stampin' Dimensional (on both cards) gives me a cool dimension to the hand-crafted card.  I had fun using the 5 designs of the All is Calm Designer Washi Tape to the 15 hand-crafted cards for my husband's staff.
Home-made Pumpkin bread, Maple Cookies, Chocolate Bourbon Cupcakes with a Caramel, Cream Cheese, Pecan top - sigh... spoiling my husband's staff is the least I can do as they work so hard all year long!  The rest of the company (including the Executives that serve on the Board with my husband) finds it's way into his Accounting Department - they just follow their noses, lol.
My helpers... it's wonderful finding time to teach my kids the art of giving back.  Simple things, like sending a hand-stamped card to creating hand-crafted treats is a fun and tasty way to show our gratitude.  They might be sticking around to lick the frosting bowl, lol, I just hope they are learning a lesson or two, too!

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
