Santa Paper-Crafted Curvy Keepsake Boxes

I love creating and delivering sweet treats that are adorably wrapped for those in my life.  Having as many kids as we do - I love blessing their friends, teachers and leaders as well as our neighbors and my friends.. whew.  So as we created a couple hundred Santa boxes this year, I've been swamped!  Sure, volunteering in my kiddo's classes on top of creating these cute punch-art boxes makes for a super busy week, but it is such a blessing to see those we love perk up with a cute gift!  Join Me in creating and delivering some holiday cheer in this cute hand-crafted, punch-art Santa box.

I enlisted the minions and my hubby as Jr. Elves this year.  With so many cute hand-crafted boxes to create, over 200 with schools, bible study, hubby's office staff, neighbors and family.. whew!  So I also divided the boxes from Cherry Cobbler to Real Red card stock.

Using the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits Die on two pieces of 4-1/4"x5-1/2" in the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform.  It will score and die-cut the two pieces to create the one box in one pass on the Big Shot.  You need to pieces to make one box - super easy to do!

Build the box using the SNAIL adhesive on the bottom piece.  The secret to helping the box stay "a box" is using the Bone Folder on the adhesive - this will adhere the two sides together for extra strength.  Use the Bone Folder to curl the sides and it will fold for a rounder and smoother look.
Create a cute punch-art Santa look easily!  Simply cut a 2-1/2"x 1/4" strip of Basic Black card stock.  Adhere to the box with the Glue Dots.  Add a Petite Curly Label punched Silver Glimmer paper and the Glue Dots.  Use the Itty Bitty Labels punch pack to create this 'threaded belt' look with the Basic Black card stock and the Glue Dots will actually be the best adhesive to hold on the texture of the Glimmer Paper.

I love seeing the office staff and kids at our school get excited to see what we have created for each holiday.  Some kids don't receive gifts during this holiday season, I love being the one to give them a gift!  This quick, easy and super cute, punch-art, hand-crafted Santa box was fun to create.  My 6 and 8 year olds were adhering the belt portion and my 10 year old was die-cutting the box on the Big Shot before passing the job onto his Dad - lol.  It was TOTALLY a Family, all-hands-on-deck activity... we were like busy little elves - lol.  Enjoy the fun and ease of this Curvy Keepsake Die... it will delight for celebrations and just-because!  Happy Ho, Ho, Holidays from my family to yours!

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
