HandStamped earrings

I love my stamping and crafting business.  I am blessed beyond measure by my card making friends and Gettin' Crafty Stampin' Family.  Yesterday I flew across the nation for a Leadership Conference with my business coach Ronda.  I am rooming with friends and fellow crafting business owners.  A common thing we do, as crafters, is a Pillow Gift.  We make a gift for each night that we are rooming together.  Below is one of my Pillow Gifts (hand stamped earrings!) for the girls I am enjoying my weekend with.  Join Us and connect over card making and crafting at my many card making classes and retreats.

As a kid I was enthralled with Shrink A Dinks.  Playing with my stamps I created this handmade pair of earrings.

Making a 3D little gift that is so much fun is easy too!
~  With the Sweet & Sassy thinlits and the T-Shirt Builder Framelits Dies and Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine Die-Cut Shrink Film create these custom shapes.
~  Punch a hole with the 1/8" handheld punch.

~  Place in a preheated oven for 2 minutes and remove, placing something flat on it to assure that it's edges flatten out.

Pinterest FAIL - lol!!  I've seen so many posts that using a SOLO type cup can create a Shrink creation.

 Ummmm... NOPE.
It is such a Pinterest Fail that I had to share it with YOU!!  I can see where it looks like a Tee Shirt that m son may have washed and done something weird with (he balls up clothes, etc. - ugh he's such a pre-teen lol).  So I wouldn't recommend anything but shrink film.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
