We had so much fun creating together these four magical mermaids. Perfect for Summer, don't you think? See how we took one general design, one stamp set and took it up a notch, or four to be exact.
Watercoloring.. I love the ease of this medium of art. ~ Starting off with Whisper White card stock, stamp your mermaid in Black Archival ink. Set aside to dry.
~ On a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock stamp your seaweed and shells.
~ Color in the seaweed with our Watercolor Pencils in Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. Blend with our Aqua Painter.
~ Color in the mermaid with the Watercolor Pencils and blend with our Aqua Painters.
~ Assemble with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive for a flowing depth to your project.
Take her up a notch. I fell in-love with our background stamp sets - they are amazing, so easy to use and can change the whole look to a handmade project.
~ Stamp this Whisper White card stock with our Marbled Background stamp and Soft Sky ink pad.
~ Add sparkle to the mermaid with our Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.
(It is just amazing what a simple addition like this can do to the look of a hand-stamped card.)
A gilded mermaid. Edged in gold, this heat embossed accent will elevate the elegance.
~ After stamping the card use the Embossing Buddy to prepare the surface.
~ Stamp the sand image with Versamark ink on the top.
~ Cover with Gold Embossing Powder. Heat set with our Heat Tool for a raised gold image.
~ Rub the edges of the mermaid in the Versamark ink pad and cover in Gold Embossing powder. Heat set for a gilded mermaid!
~ Add the Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush for an extra special glittering gold.
I can't get over the sheer loveliness of this gilded golden and sparkling mermaid.
Create an underwater scene with a Shaker Card addition.
~ After the Marbled background, cover the surface of the card with the Embossing Buddy.
~ Stamp the seaweed in the Versamark and heat set the Gold Embossing Powder.
~ Stamp your greeting.
~ Die-Cut with the Stitched Framelits this oval window.
~ Adhere it to the card with SNAIL adhesive.
~ Frame it with the Foam adhesive strips.
~ Add a pinch of Metallic Sequins. Cover with our Window Sheets.
~ Apply the sea scene and mermaid to the top of the window sheet.
You have a delightful shaker card!
~ Add a gilded and glittery mermaid, like from the previous card.
