With so many options in our coloring and heat embossing... enjoy how you can create and modify in water coloring.

Recipe:

~  With half of our Fluid 100 watercolor paper, using the Glass Mat to create a frame with Washi Tape.

~  Using the Brights Collection Ink Refills (here I used Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point inks) and my Water Painters.

~  Using the Heat Tool to set the inks.

~  With the Embossing Buddy in the Embossing Additions Kit prep the surface.

~  With Versa Mark ink pad and the Thoughtful Expression bundle, stamp the Hummingbird and greeting.

~  Liberally pour the embossing powder of your choice (here I embraced the gold and white), pour off and heat set DIRECTLY on the Glass Mat (I adore how it protects my surface!).

Spice It UP:

~  Adding MORE watercolored accents with the Water Painters, Ink Refills and Silicone Mat I accented with the Melon Mambo and ink refills for this fun ethereal look.

~  SPLATTER!  This would have damaged my surface but with our Glass Mat Studio - it won't!  Using the Wink of Stella to add color to the hummingbird and splatter to the image.

~  Accent with the Sparkle Gems using my Take Your Pick Tool.

Who doesn't LOVE a fun and WOW Technique, using a simple Tool in a new and FABULOUS way?!?!

They will fit in a standard envelope with a little extra room to spare.  I think that a unconventional card size is a fun way to stand out.  This is also reminds me of the square and size of Valentine's that I gave out as a child.

~  Score the 4-1/4"x8-1/2" Smoky Slate card stock at 4-1/4".

~  Blushing Bride at 4"x4"

~  Basic White card stock at 3-3/4"x3-3/4"

~  Punch a heart with the Heart Punch Pack in a sticky note.

~  Using the Blending Brush with the Blushing Bride ink to create this soft, blush heart.

~  Stamp the Smoky Slate ink owl on the Basic White card stock, then with Basic Grey ink on a Silicone Craft Sheet.

~  Flip this Silicone Craft Sheet and using a clear block to push the color down.

~  With the Water Painters, color in the eyes in Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, the beak and feet with the So Saffron and the Blushing Bride for a blush and the mouth.

~  Add sparkle to the eyes and beak with the Wink of Stella glimmer brush.

~  Fussy Cut with our Paper Snips for this sweet pair of love birds.

~  Tie a bow of the Grey Granite Satin Ribbon.

~  Adhere with Mini Glue Dots, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

They are the CUTEST Pair for today's Backwards Day, aren't they??
