When your friend is expecting...

One of the best things about my Stamping and Crafting Business is the friends I make. Monique is a clear example of that. It was a divine appointment. This new mom with an infant was looking for a side gig she can work while mothering, working and living life. She loved crafting. She is a natural born leader. Over the past two years Monique has become a dear friend as we run our businesses side by side, leading an amazing team in our Getting Crafty Family. Today we celebrate as she expands her family.. but the one she is growing from within.

I love how a friend can become like family... when Monique joined our Getting Crafty Family, she became a sister of my heart.

~ Stamping the Wonderful Moments woman in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper Whtie card stock.

~ Color in the girl with our Stampin' Blends in the NEW Blackberry Bliss combo, Soft Suede combo and the Pool Party Combo (around the outside of her to highlight her carrying a sweet little boy!).

Monique is Hispanic, coloring her a light skin tone, like the Ivory, is too light. Coloring her in Bronze is too dark.. sooooo...

TOOL TIP: ~ Color and shadow as the Stampin' Blends are designed to - BLEND! So shadow in, with Bronze, around where a natural shadow may lay. Color over and blend the two colors with the Ivory.

BONUS TOOL TIP: When COLORING with Stampin' Blends, MAKE SURE... you have scrap paper under. Stampin' Blends are an alcohol marker and will bleed through the card stock and can damage your table.

~ Add sparkle, lightly, to her hair, around her baby bump and such with our Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush.

~ Sponge the card stock around with the Stampin' Sponge and Blackberry Bliss ink.

~ Using the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, grab this marble piece and stamp the greeting on it.

~ Tie the Blackberry Bliss bakers twine, from the Nature's Twine set, around it and tie a bow.

~ Adhere it to the Blackberry Bliss card stock with Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
