Over the Moon for you!

I am Over the Moon for this sweet Cow stamp set.  Truthfully - I was NOT going to order this... until my Bestie asked me to.  She, NOT A Farm Girl, loved it.  Me, a Farm Girl, thought - but I want a GOAT stamp set (said in my best little girl whine) lol... the more I play with it though.. the more I'm in LOVE with this sweet set!  Create a colorful handmade card that is sure to show how you are Over the Moon!

The power of the mighty marker (or markers!)...
Oh how I adore color!  Using our Stampin' Blends as well as the Stampin' Write Markers to create this night scene.
See the LIVE Video Tutorial on our Facebook.com/GettingCrafty.net LIVES under the VIDEOS tab.
~Stamp the Thick Whisper White card base with the Memento Black ink and the Love What You Do stamp set to create this custom cow background.  Add the 'Over the Moon for you' greeting to the corner.
~  Stamp the 2-1/2" square Whisper White card stock with the Memento black ink pad and the cute cow and moon.
~  Using the Night of Navy Blends, I colored around the cow and moon with the darker of the two.  Fill in with the lighter.
~  With the Old Olive Stampin' Blends I did the same, the darker around the cow, the lighter to fill in.  Edge each side in the darker color to 'frame' out the image.
~  Accent the Moon (and cow bell) with an outline of the Daffodil Delights Blends in light and dark.
~  Add some sparkle to the night sky with our Wink of Stella glitter brush.
~  Color the cow spots and hair in with the Black (from the Neutrals collection) and the Petal Pink (from the Subtles collection) of the Stampin' Write Makers.
~  Frame with the Neutrals 3" square Designer Series Paper in Night of Navy and the Stampin' Dimensional adhesive.
Even if you aren't into cows.. this will have you Over the Moon for it's cuteness factor.

The COW Kindness Challenge**.
After the loss of my mom and a very rough season... the loss of our dog, a different dog that attacked our goats and me, attacks, frustration, loss of hope, and more.... I felt like I've been drowning.
Drowning SUCKS.
My Grandparents often challenged me to face my challenges, hurts and more by giving back to others.
Monday, the week before, after a devastating call, a woman knocked on my car... she saw my logo on the side.  She'd lost her family in the recent Woosley Fire.  They died right before her eyes.  We clung to one another and cried in the parking lot.  We then walked through the post office together and talked.
I regretted something...
I'd given her my card and a hug but I wished, I wished I had a pretty card or a little gift to give her - just to make her smile.
***
So here is the Cow Kindness Challenge I gave to my Getting Crafty Family.
~  Make something pretty (cow not required).
~  Give it to someone or three to five people each week.
~  Random acts of kindness.
~  A sweet act with a sweet treat.
and you know what....
YOU can play along with us!
Just share what you did in our
Getting Crafty Stampers Facebook Group.
Carry the thought through when you decorate the inside of the card with the cute spots and moon.  That Envelope is just WAITING for some TLC.. so like a gift wrapped love - stamp on it also for a custom made hand stamped envelope.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
