Sea Grass and Gratitude handmade card


It's that slimy stuff that grows from the bottom of the sea.. it's pretty awful when you are boating or swimming.  I love it though when I'm scuba diving and snorkeling.  The beauties and wonder it can hide!!  See this beautiful hand crafted card we created at our recent Facebook.com/GettingCrafty.net LIVE

Creating a unique under the sea look, this is a great masculine card (even with the addition of glitter!)  
~  Die-Cut the Smooth Sailing sea grass image in the Mossy Meadow card stock. (Save the die-cut 'stencil!)
~  Using the Sponge Dauber and Mossy Meadow ink pad, sponge a soft and cool texture to the Whisper White card stock (3-3/4"x5").
~  Stamp the Sailing Home 'Thanks' in Mossy Meadow ink.
~  Adhere the card stock together with our SNAIL adhesive over the Mossy Meadow card stock (4"x5-1/4") and the Thick Whisper White card stock (Scored at 4-1/4", cut at 5-1/2").
~  Apply the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper (4"x 3") to the front of the card with SNAIL.
~  Add Sparkle with our Wink of Stella glimmer brush and apply the sea grass die-cuts with our Glue Dots.  
TECHNIQUE:  Dress Up the INSIDE of your cards with a beautiful soft stenciled sea grass using the Sponge Daubers!  
I love the different look to this card and it's simple elegance with masculine colors is a great neutral handcrafted card to give.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by.
