It started with Thankfulness and moves on to Kindness... December Kindness Advent Calendar

It is December y'all...

November has us pause to show our Thankfulness...

and it's a beautiful thing.

December and the holidays can be hard on many...

I'll share that I can struggle with depression and anxiety - I find myself diving into my Bible and Prayer even more during this season.

Today I posted, on Facebook, a photo of my mom (who'd passed) from 9 years ago with my kiddos...

Last year we suddenly lost my Mother In Law the Friday before Christmas...

Thinking on the losses of our families.. my father, my grandparents...

The challenging season of shortage in supplies, tight money, big dreams of my children for Christmas gifts, the news, media and insanity of our world.

I just wanted to PAUSE.  Can we just hit the Pause Button?

Kindness is FREE!

I'm also SUPER Selfish...

I find that the more I do for others, the more I serve and love on others, that my own stress, sadness, anxiousness will just disappear.

So today I created this and maybe, just maybe, you need it as well.

I thought I'd share, also, what else I'm doing...

(Not bragging, I just thought you'd enjoy some ideas.)

Basket of snacks for my delivery people in a little basket (it isn't hard to know when packages should be arriving, just taking a moment to check!)

(I usually do this with cold waters and pop in a cooler during the hot months.)

Donating handmade cards to retirement homes, children's hospital wards locally and the veterans building.

Caroling with my kids and their friends/families who won't mind my joyful but bad singing.

Donating Paper Pumpkin all-inclusive kits to a local Children's hospital.

Creating 25 pretty little gifts I can put in a bag in my car and give out this month (cashiers at my stores to bankers to coffee baristas to anyone!).

I hope that this inspires you to spread kindness around.
Most acts of kindness are free but priceless!

  2. This is wonderful. I just printed it and will put it on my work desk (my dining room table) so that I can carefully do my kindness and then decorate that little box with a holiday stamp. I think we all struggle with the demands of December and then throw in major losses of loved one (I lost my dear father-in-law on Christmas Eve none years ago). I am so sorry for your losses. May the many blessing be upon you and your family.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
