Creating a handmade card is extra important (and challenging) when it comes to celebrating the life of someone so beloved by so many (including my kids and I). Juanita Bouchard was an amazing woman who loved so many, a mother to two daughters and a son and so many grandkids (and great grandkids!). Her sudden passing is comforted by the knowledge that she loved the Lord and is reunited in heaven with her husband - on their wedding anniversary!!

I struggle in creating a card with such meaning... is it too shiny? Fancy? Upbeat or simple? Celebrating the life of a woman like this..
I just wanted to get this right!
My Recipe:
~ Scoring a 7"x8-1/2" piece of Smoky Slate card stock at 3-1/2" (on the 7" side).
~ Die-Cut with the Gorgeous Garden dies the Silver Foil (3-1/2"x8-1/2") in our Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
~ Using the Brush end of the Take Your Pick tool to help with the hanging chads - I love using an old Paper Pumpkin box to contain the excess.
~ Adhere the Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the card front.
~ With Stazon Jet Black Ink, stamp the Something Fancy greeting and Die-Cut with the Bundle/Coordinating dies.
~ Stamp the inside with the Hope & Prayers greetings and Stazon Jet Black ink.
~ Accent with the Rhinestone Jewels with your Take Your Pick Tool.
With multiple textures.. this comes together to shine as bright as the life that represents Juanita.
Leaving room to write... when you have a larger group, like our homeschool community, this shape card allows for many to write their love and comfort.
Miss Juanita.. her laughter, heart and personality was as big as her arms and hugs!! She brought together so many people with the heart to create and send cards.... bringing love and cheer to so many!
(What a beautiful legacy she leaves behind for us all!)
A beautiful card to celebrate the many beautiful memories she was the center of....
