Creating a Collage is a fun way to add patterns and even textures to a card.  Here start with the stamped and Welcome from the Life's Adventure stamp set on the Whisper White card stock.  Color the home in using the coordinating In-Color Stampin' Write Markers.  Frame out from there with the Lullaby Designer Series Paper.  The paper is double sided so you get double the patterns for the same price and they are all color coordinated!

Add Texture for interest on this card using the *Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and the Fancy Fan embossing folder.  Cutting a piece and flipping it over for more texture and pattern!  It's so easy to use the Big Shot Machine - my kids 'help me' (child "free labor" - lol) from 18 months on!  They LOVE the Big Shot almost as much as I do.  I love how we can craft together while keeping their little hands busy.

Add dashes of sparkle and shine with our In-Color coordinating Sequin Assortment!  I LOVE this collection and how they perfectly coordinate.  Apply them using the Multipurpsoe Liquid Adhesive and they will stay right where you want them for a fun element.

I love how easy and fun this card is while adding texture, mixed patterns and, of course, a dash of sparkle and shine!

This stunning collection of In-Colors that were introduced this year has me in bliss... Blackberry Bliss!  Sure - it's a fun play on words but oh so true!  Here the Corner Garden background stamp mimics the Park Lane Designer Series Paper's rich floral paper.  Stamping the Corner Garden rubber stamp on the Hello Honey card stock in the Blackberry Bliss ink for a luxurious color combination.
The Park Lane Designer Series Paper has stunning rich collections of paper.  Cutting out this shape of the flowers is super easy and fun using the Paper Snips!  With precision tips and blade, small enough to get into the nooks and crannies of the patterned flowers and leaves... it creates a stunning image that is perfect to add to this collage.

Stamp this sentiment from the Say Something stamp set on Whisper White card stock using the Blackberry Bliss ink.  The secret to the placement... layer the cut Park Lane page over the Whisper White card stock, before stamping the sentiment.  This way you can perfectly place the saying so that it 'fits' the card.  Add the gold flecked Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape for an additional layer and a pretty golden accent.  Adhere the Park Lane page with SNAIL adhesive over the stamped and washi tape accented Whisper White card stock.
The amazing thing with the Park Lane page is that you can keep cutting and creating different looks.  Here a second card has a different look and the sentiment and washi tape placed to fit this card.  I love the look of this layered and beautiful hand-stamped card.

What Others are SAYING about Getting Crafty with Jamie

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
